Let’s Nuke Europe For the Fun Of It

A confused Donald Trump couldn’t grasp why we would not (should not) nuke Europe! (He seems to be emulating his most conspicuous policy advisor, Ann Coulter.)

Nuke Europe

Donald Trump Goes Nuclear

Here are highlights from his most recent Hardball interview:

[Warning: Scary stuff follows.]

Chris Matthews: “Your most controversial suggestion was don’t take nuclear weapons [off the table]. …  I have been trying to think of how we could conceivably use a nuclear weapon in the Middle East or in Europe in fighting ISIS. Where can you? And why put it on the table or leave it on the table if you can’t imagine where to use it?”

Donald Trump: “Well, I didn’t say, ‘Don’t take it.’ I said I would be very, very slow and hesitant to pull that trigger.”

Matthews: “Where would we drop a nuclear weapon in the Middle East?”

Trump: “Let me explain. Let me explain. Somebody hits us within ISIS, you wouldn’t fight back with a nuke?”

Trump: “I’d be the last one to use the nuclear weapon.”

Matthews: “So can you take it off the table now?”

Trump: “Because that’s sort of like the end of the ball game.”

Matthews: “Can you tell the Middle East we’re not using a nuclear weapon on anybody?”

Trump: “I would never say that. I would never take any of my cards off the table.”

Matthews: “How about Europe? We won’t use it in Europe?”

Trump: “I, I’m not going to take it off the table.”

Matthews: “You might use it in Europe?”

Trump: “No, I don’t think so. But I’m not taking …”

Matthews: “Well, just say it. ‘I will never use a nuclear weapon in Europe.’”

Trump: “I am not, I am not taking cards off the table.”

Matthews: “OK.”

Trump: “I’m not going to use nuclear, but I’m not taking any cards off the table.”

Welcome to the man who wants to control the nuclear football but hasn’t got a clue about the nuclear triad.

The Donald learned well from his consigliere, Ann Coulter.

Ann Coulter Goes Nuclear

Coulter began 2005 with a proposition: “I think we ought to nuke North Korea right now just to give the rest of the world a warning.” Coulter added, “I just think it would be fun to nuke them and have it be a warning to the rest of the world.”

Just last year, Coulter advocated the “liberal use of nukes, daisy cutters, drones,” saying she was “in favor of lots of nukes and daisy cutters.”

Last October, Coulter extensively debated the employment of nuclear weaponry.

Cenk Uygur: “You said you wanted to drop nukes, so would you have dropped a nuke? … So would you have dropped the nuke [on Iraq]? … Would you have dropped the nuke?”

Ann Coulter: “Nuke, daisy-cutter, drone – it doesn’t matter. And by the way, the way this is supposed to work is a question an answer and I have given the same answer now 16 times.”

Uygur: “You have clearly answered: you would have dropped a nuke and Saddam would have probably died as well as maybe a million others … babies burned alive – but hey, we’re having fun – it’s a hyperbole.”

Coulter: “I know this is apparently mostly an audience that doesn’t really care about 9/11, but I am an American.”

If The Donald is really taking foreign (or domestic) policy advice from Ann Coulter, he should get a new advisor.

Update: A reader took issue with the title of this essay, to which I replied, re-posting relevant excerpts from Trump’s transcript, and then added:

“IN OTHER WORDS, Why Not Nuke Europe? Trump does not even give a rationale for why he would nuke Europe. He clearly can’t take a firm position – one way or the other – on this crucial (and crystal clear) question. If he does not know why he should NOT nuke Europe, then the question posed on the graphic – Why not nuke Europe? – fits both the dialogue that took place and Trump’s own thinking process. Trump, again, DOES NOT KNOW WHY HE SHOULD NOT NUKE EUROPE! If he knew why he should not nuke Europe, he would take nukes off the table.”

P.S. The essay title – Let’s Nuke Europe For the Fun Of It – obviously merges the sentiments of both Trump (why not nuke Europe) and Coulter (“I just think it would be fun to nuke them”). Satire, apparently, escapes Trump supporters.

      1. I had suspicions, but Adios America confirmed them.
Basically she talks about the quasi- true economic problems stemming from Illegal immigration, then goes on a Ten page tangent about rape, and her ever coveted footnotes/sources are basically like “davidduke.com”.
        I smell *false opposition*.

  1. Coulter thinks she can identify with the Alt-Right movements in Europe, the Alt-Right, the people who resent Culturally-Different Middle Eastern refugees flooding into their countries.

However, one must ask oneself, why are they doing that? Reasons: Civil War(s) stemming from the Arab spring. Why did the Arab Spring occur? The Iraq War, and the toppling of Saddam Hussein, who was one of the biggest supporter of that at the time; HER.

She can prostitute herself to European Neo-Nazis all she wants, hopefully they’re smart enough to see through her, but Neo-Nazis aren’t the smartest….

      1. Oh yes. Her Marco Rubio remarks (Nikki Haley endorsed him because they both are ‘racist’ against Whites), and closing with “diversity=non-White” was one word away from the Alt-Right talking point “Diversity=Anti-White”.

The Alt-Right in Europe should realize that she was a big supporter of the Bush administration and the war in Iraq, which destabilized the region and is much of the reasons why Syrians are coming.

        But they’re stupid…….

      2. And she never really apologized for it, she still bashes the main Conservatives who opposed it- Libertarians.
Hate list: Early on: Anyone who doesn’t *think* like her persona does.
Now: Anyone who doesn’t *look* like her, or bow before Furher Drumpf.
