@AnnCoulter – WASP Queen

WASP Identity

Coulter, the high priestess of the Alt-Right, is obsessed with race and looks.

She boasts that she is a looksist. Why? Her family roots go back to America’s founding; they were among the first settlers.

Yes, this is personal for Coulter. Her maternal roots are primarily Anglo-Saxon.

Coulter’s self-identity as a “settler” (as if she herself were the “settler” who “created” America) drives her views on race, culture, citizenship, immigration, and the like. Coulter’s preeminent descriptor for “settler” is “WASP.” White Anglo-Saxon Protestant.

WASP defines Coulter and Coulter’s idyllic America. Coulter wrote: “In fact, the natural state of the world is Darfur. The freakish aberration is America and the rest of the Anglo-Saxon world.”

Not All WASPs are Equal

For a decade or more, Coulter has had a hate-on for the Bush family. I vividly remember that, during one CPAC speech, Coulter demanded, “No more Bushes or Doles.”

But the Bush family are just as much Settlers and WASPs as Coulter.

Apparently not all WASPs are equal. Indeed, the Bush family is perhaps even more WASP than the Coulter clan.

American-born Samuel Bush (1647-1733) was the son of Englishman John Bush III (1593-1670). The Bushes, like the Coulters, are of English and German stock.

Does Bush’s patriarchal lineage going back to 1647 trump Coulter’s matriarchal lineage going back to sometime after 1632?

In any event, the Bush family has a far more extensive collection of American ancestors with far more notable and illustrious members than the Coulter clan.

But Coulter snobbishly looks down on the Bushes who are far more distinguished WASPs than the Coulters.

What qualifies the Coulter clan more than the Bush family to determine America’s fate and future given that they are equally settlers and WASPs by pedigree?

Listen to the sage words of America’s 43rd president. In a heartfelt tribute to his father, President George W. Bush said, “He valued character more than pedigree.”

Citizenship

Most of America’s Founders were WASPs. Therefore, to Coulter, being a WASP is part of what it means to be an American. Thus, she loosely correlates citizenship with WASPiness.

Coulter’s jaundiced view of American citizenship was on full display in one 2015 column[1] in which she again dismissed the terrorist threat in America[2] and confused the immigration issue by conflating various groups as if they were identical.

Coulter wrote (emphasis added): “And, once again, the weekend came and went without anyone in America being killed by ISIS, but a lot of people being killed by immigrants – legal, illegal, second generation and anchor babies.” Coulter later added, “Some of these crimes were committed by legal residents – even ‘citizens.’”

In addressing crime by immigrants, Coulter lumps everyone in together: immigrants (illegal, legal, second generation, anchor babies) and “citizens” (in air quotes, so that we might know she regards them as not really citizens).

Coulter even regarded the then-current governor of South Carolina, Nikki Haley, as an air-quote citizen.

Coulter smeared Gov. Nikki Haley (R-SC) – a native-born American citizen – for having immigrant parents, suggesting she was somehow less than a real American. Why? Because this successful governor and, later, U.S. ambassador to the U.N. – who is a native South Carolinian to boot – was from the wrong race! Haley’s family hails from India, not England.

Remember, Coulter calls many native-born Americans “immigrants,” not citizens.

The very nature of citizenship eludes many liberals and some conservatives, particularly Coulter. As noted by the Ashbrook Center (emphasis added):

But in fact, of course, only Americans are American citizens. Our revolution began with a universal claim about human equality, but it culminated necessarily in the establishment of a particular nation. ‘We the People of the United States’ are distinct from the other peoples of the world not by birth, race, or religion, but by the deliberate act of establishing ourselves as a different people. By the act of consent, the people of the United States committed themselves to each other, as distinct from all the others who live outside the bond if citizenship.

An idea – liberty and equality – gave birth to America.

Coulter’s Race-Based Immigration Plan

Coulter has a very narrow, unidimensional perspective, shallow and superficial – literally skin deep. Don’t take my word for it. Consider Coulter’s very own criteria for determining whom to let into America.

Coulter’s plan is distinctly racial: “I want to be 100% in charge of all of our immigration. I can decide before breakfast every morning. I just need a picture, age, country of origin – that’s about it.”[3]

Coulter added, “I’m a looksist and I like ‘em tall. Those are the two primary factors. And, obviously, English-speaking.” Moreover, her diversity would extend to, well, “I want more British and Dutch, but I would say a lot more British and less Dutch.”

And, if you don’t think race is Coulter’s primary criterion,[4] consider these words: “Send me a million people who want to come to America, and I will decide them all before breakfast. I can pretty much decide on looks; it would save a lot of money.”[5]

Dennis Prager (who is Jewish) offered insight into Ronald Reagan’s vision of America – a vision diametrically opposed to that of Ann Coulter. Prager wrote:

Matthew’s Gospel speaks of a city on a hill, an image that captured the imagination of Ronald Reagan: “I’ve spoken of the shining city all my political life, but I don’t know if I ever quite communicated what I saw when I said it. But in my mind, it was a tall proud city built on rocks stronger than oceans, wind-swept, God-blessed, and teeming with people of all kinds living in harmony and peace, a city with free ports that hummed with commerce and creativity. And if there had to be city walls, the walls had doors and the doors were open to anyone with the will and the heart to get here.”

Quite a different outlook from that of Coulter.

WASP = White Anglo-Saxon Protestant

Coulter speaks of WASP culture in almost exclusively racial terms, emphasizing the first word and giving lip service to the last.

Myron Magnet noted “The Plymouth Pilgrims were only the first of many who came to the New World to escape religious persecution. … because they were accustomed to reading the Bible and feeling free to judge its meaning for themselves – to believing, that is, that they had a direct relation to God and his word independent of any worldly institution or authority – they also brought a deeply rooted culture of individualism and personal responsibility. For them, the individual and his conscience were of preeminent importance.”

Moreover, religious revivals (called “Great Awakenings”) animated the public square and reconstituted America. Kevin D. Williamson observed, “The American proposition is a theological proposition: ‘that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights.’”

But Coulter gives short shrift to the spiritual (Christian) origins of America.[6]

Gerson emphasized the importance Christianity had in America’s founding and maturation. Gerson explains, “The First Great Awakening, led by George Whitfield in the 1730s, promoted the doctrines of individual conscience and liberty that added momentum to the American Revolution, sending many traditional conservatives fleeing for Canada.”[7]

Gerson added, “The Second Great Awakening, which flamed a century later, created the moral constituency for abolition, and the political constituency for Lincoln’s election.”[8]

Gerson continued, “The Third Great Awakening, at the end of the nineteenth century and the beginning of the twentieth, led to a Social Gospel that confronted the excesses of the industrial revolution with soup kitchens, homes for unwed mothers, and progressive laws.”[9]

Coulter Proud to be Leni

Ann Coulter is proud to take the credit for Donald Trump’s political ascendancy as the GOP’s presumptive presidential nominee.

Coulter is a propagandist without peer,[1] the Leni Riefenstahl[2] of the Trump campaign,[3] and she is delighted to be called “the most influential commentator of this campaign.” Coulter always wanted to be a king-maker,[4] regardless of the outcome. Previously, she foisted Mitt Romney on us;[5] now she has given us the man with little hands.[6] Little hands, big ego.

If Coulter wants the credit, then she can take the blame!

Trump and Clinton are equally disasters, narcissistic statists who would further Obama’s statist agenda and, perhaps, irreparably end the American Experiment.[7] It doesn’t matter who prevails – Hillary or The Donald – because they are both liberal statists[8] unbridled by morality and unfettered by constitutional restraints.

Coulter has knowingly done this. Coulter admits Trump is a fraud[9] and exclaimed he is mental![10] Moreover, Trump will not pursue her professed immigration,[11] yet Coulter still extols Trump. Whatever his faults – and they are legion – Coulter is worse than Trump.[12]

As Americans suffer under the next liberal president[13] – likely with a Democrat House and Senate and an additional left-wing activist Justice – remember who wanted the credit and deserves the blame!

Coulter Goes Mental Over Her “Mental” Candidate

An exasperated Ann Coulter recently lamented, “Our candidate is mental. Do you realize our candidate is mental?”

In a recent interview with Milo Yiannopoulos, Coulter peevishly confessed, “I’m a little testy with, with, with our man right now.”

Why? Because his “lowbrow” politics and performance degenerated into a series of hateful tweets attacking Heidi Cruz. Coulter was “ticked off at last night’s tweet,” claiming it “is the worst thing he’s done” (that’s saying something!) and also indefensible to boot.

Still, Coulter defends her man. “I love him so much on immigration,” she said, asserting, “He’s the only one who’s gonna build a wall.”

Tired of defending Trump’s bullying and boorish behavior, Coulter asked Trump to “please stop testing our patience on the rest of this stuff.” Indeed, Coulter joked, “I wanna take him to a urologist and get electrodes inserted into what is apparently a very large schlong, and whenever he does something like this I wanna have the button.”

This is the best candidate Coulter could find?

Will Trump Build a Wall?

But is Coulter right? Will Trump build a wall? Is Trump the best candidate on immigration and border security?

The facts say otherwise.

As I and others have pointed out, Trump is a fraud[1] and his positions on immigration and border security are, by his own admission, flexible.[2] Moreover, Trump’s stances on a whole range of issues mirror those of Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton.

Coulter once championed Trump as her Savior,[3] but perhaps now is coming to see just how deeply flawed[4] he is[5] as a candidate[6] and a person.[7]

Coulter’s fierce support for Trump is seemingly based solely on her perception that Trump is the only candidate who is right on the issue most important to her – immigration – and, therefore, she hates all of the other GOP candidates.[8]

Even though a Trump nomination would spell doom for Conservatism and America,[9] Coulter still sees him as her only hope.

But why would Coulter trust Trump on immigration and border security when he has proven himself a fraud in every other area of life?

Who Will Build a Wall?

Trump first spoke of building a wall when he announced his candidacy last summer. Cruz, on the other hand, actually introduced legislation to do so in 2013.

Despite his rhetoric, Trump has always favored amnesty (touchback deportation). Cruz, however, has held consistent views. From 2012 through 2016, Cruz has sought to build a wall and secure the border, oppose amnesty, eliminate sanctuary cities, and enforce existing laws.

In contrast to Trump and Trump’s dizzyingly shifting positions on every political issue (always with a tilt toward the Left), Ted Cruz has proven his love for God and country.[10]

Cruz’s lifelong love of, and fidelity to, the Constitution puts most of Congress to shame. He is a warrior for the Constitution and Liberty, the perfect antidote to a lawless regime which wields a pen and a phone to circumvent both the Constitution and the will of the People.

Consequently, BrotherWatch has wholeheartedly endorsed Cruz for President![11]

Will Coulter endorse the one candidate who will keep his word on border security and preservation of national sovereignty – Ted Cruz – or will she continue to be a shill for Donald Trump,[12] who, in her own words, is “lowbrow,” a liar, and a fraud?

An Open Letter to Ann Coulter

Dear Ann:

You are willing to sacrifice all of your conservative principles and Christian beliefs to get Trump elected president, solely on the premise that Trump is the only candidate who is “good on immigration.” You admit that Trump is not a conservative and that he does lie.[1] Is Trump lying on immigration?

Trump’s record and rhetoric on immigration suggest that he is lying about both the wall and deportation[2] of illegal immigrants.

Trump supported the Gang of Eight bill that you despise.

Trump hired illegal aliens at the expense of American workers.

Trump favors H-1B visas.

Trump would “negotiate” on both the wall and immigration.

Trump seeks touchback deportation to bring them back as quickly as possibleahead of the line: amnesty!

So, having sacrificed every principle and ideal you once held dear, you are supporting the one person you claim is good on immigration, and he is actually the worst on immigration.

If Trump wins the presidency, America gets a liberal similar to Hillary and amnesty![3]

You have sacrificed everything for nothing!

Moreover, you have viciously[4] attacked[5] the one candidate[6] who has a proven record of opposition to amnesty and fought for the preservation of American sovereignty: Ted Cruz![7]

You regard Trump as your and America’s Savior[8] and claim that you would marry Trump if he were available. You exalt Trump[9] above the heavens and absolve him of all his faults.

At the very same time, you demonize an actual conservative who is a strict constitutionalist and devout Christian and, ironically, is the only candidate who would do what you claim you want done about immigration.

Instead, you promote a bully[10] and a charlatan.[11]

If Trump wins the nomination and is victorious in the election, America has you to blame!

But it is not too late! Will you forsake your pride,[12] reverse course, and support the candidate who would actually do what you want to accomplish on immigration and who is also an actual conservative, constitutionalist, and Christian?

What is more important to you, Ann? Your pride or America’s future?

Birther Coulter Births More Lies

Erstwhile anti-birther Ann Coulter, worshiping at the idol of The Donald, has become the premiere birther attacking Ted Cruz. Why? She wants to scuttle Cruz’s presidential ambitions and stop his burgeoning support before her own Savior, Trump, loses the nomination.

(Coulter has, after all, tied her future – and that of America[1]to a Trump victory,[2] however wise or foolish that might be.)

Just two days ago, Coulter burst out, “Thank God for raising up Donald Trump and giving us a chance to save the country.”[3]

It’s Really Not About Ted, But All About Ann

Seemingly on emotional steroids, Coulter has turned her attack dog persona on Trump’s most formidable Republican foe, all the while professing an “Ah, shucks, I don’t want to do this, but it’s the right thing to do” attitude even has she sticks a shiv in Ted’s side.

Coulter dodges claims that she changed position on Cruz’s eligibility solely to support Trump by asserting she took her current position prior to Trump’s candidacy. That is a red herring.

Just yesterday, Coulter wrote: “I said so long before Trump declared for president, back when Cruz was still my guy.”[4] Coulter claims, “It’s not that I want him not to be a Natural Born Citizen.”[5] Except, Coulter’s later claim is patently false and demonstrably untrue.

In reality, Coulter was obsessed with recruiting Romney for president, so much so that her close friend, Sean Hannity, was aghast at the depth of her obsession. Ted Cruz was becoming an impediment to Coulter’s plans for Romney.

Coulter first sought to disqualify Cruz as a presidential contender to force her idol, Mitt Romney, to run again[6] in 2016. At that time, she wanted Romney – and only Romney![7]

Now, she wants Trump – and only Trump![8]

In fact, just three days ago, Coulter boasted that she still wants a Trump-Romney ticket: “In fact, my ideal ticket is Trump-Romney. That’s what I’m really hoping for. That’s the dynamite combo.”[9]

Bob Woodward recently said, “History is character; behavior is character.”[10] Coulter’s history, and her behavior these past two decades, proves Coulter’s own lack of character.[11] Coulter lied about the Constitution and Supreme Court cases during the 2000 election[12] and she is doing the same thing now.

Why would Ann lie? Donald Trump[13] is her new political savior.[14] In Ann’s words: “[Donald Trump is] America’s savior.”[15]

Nevertheless, Coulter hypocritically attacks those who correctly interpret the Constitution, lamenting, “It’s kind of annoying me that we are all Ruth Bader Ginsburg now and people interpret the Constitution based on what they want the Constitution to say, not what it does say.”[16]

1608 or 1790; Blood or Soil?

According to Coulter, “In the U.S., also in Great Britain and in France, citizenship is determined by soil. … Congress can write laws for naturalization. That is also in the Constitution. But if Congress has to write a law to make you a citizen, you’re not natural born. … It is determined by a law written by Congress; not by the common law, not by the Constitution. So that is not natural born.”[17]

Except, the law written by Congress (and empowered by the Constitution) establishes who is natural born! In 1790, Congress established citizenship by blood.

Coulter asserts: “The phrase ‘natural born’ is a legal term of art that goes back to Calvin’s Case, in the British Court of Common Pleas, reported in 1608 by Lord Coke. The question before the court was whether Calvin – a Scot – could own land in England, a right permitted only to English subjects.”[18]

The case which Coulter cites – Calvin’s Case (1608) – has to do with English subjects, not citizens. Americans are not subjects. Our Founders took those portions of English common law with which they agreed and modified or dispensed with those portions which were incongruent with the new American constitutional system that they were creating.

Chief Justice Joseph Story wrote, in an 1829 Supreme Court opinion: “The common law of England is not to be taken, in all respects, to be that of America. Our ancestors brought with them its general principles, and claimed it as their birthright; but they brought with them and adopted, only that portion which was applicable to their situation.”

Coulter claims that a 1608 case in England is the basis for America’s definition of Natural Born Citizen.[19] Consequently, Coulter asserts that the 1790 law enacted by Congress is irrelevant. Does Coulter seriously believe that a 1790 American law enacted by the Founders is nullified by an English case law from 1608? Really?

According to the Yale Journal of Law and the Humanities (emphasis added), “In Britain, even before Calvin’s Case, various acts and proclamations provided that a child born out of the territory of England could also be a natural-born subject, as long as the child’s parents owed allegiance to the sovereign of England. This is an example of the jus sanguinis [blood] operating alongside the jus soli [soil]. In the history of both Britain and the United States, the jus sanguinis has always been established by statute, never by judge-made law.

The 1790 statute by Congress, which Coulter dismisses as “irrelevant,” precisely establishes the principle of right of blood which Coulter denies!

The Congressional Research Service published its findings on this issue (emphasis added):

“From historical material and case law, it appears that the common understanding of the term ‘natural born’ in England and in the American colonies in the 1700s may have included both the strict common law meaning as born in the territory (jus soli), as well as the statutory laws adopted in England since at least 1350, which included children born abroad to British fathers (jus sanguinis, the law of descent).”

Cleverly, Coulter very subtly suggests that those defending citizenship by blood are nascent Nazis, saying, “The two methods are soil or blood. Curiously, in Germany, it’s, it’s blood.”[20]

Coulter Lies About ANOTHER Supreme Court Case

Coulter writes: “As the Supreme Court said in Bellei, a case about the citizenship of a man born in Italy to a native-born American mother and an Italian father: ‘It is evident that Congress felt itself possessed of the power to grant citizenship to the foreign born and at the same time to impose qualifications and conditions for that citizenship.’”[21]

Coulter uses this case to prove her contention that Cruz is ineligible, when, in fact, it proves the opposite!

As noted in ROGERS v. BELLEI, (1971) (emphasis added):

“Section 301 (a) of the Act, 8 U.S.C. 1401 (a), defines those persons who ‘shall be nationals and citizens of the United States at birth.’ Paragraph (7) of 301 (a) includes in that definition a person born abroad ‘of parents one of whom is an alien, and the other a citizen of the United States’ who has met specified conditions of residence in this country.”

The plan thus adopted by Congress with respect to a person of this classification was to bestow citizenship at birth but to take it away upon the person’s failure to comply with a post-age-14 and pre-age-28 residential requirement. It is this deprival of citizenship, once bestowed, that is under attack here.”

“The very first Congress, at its Second Session, proceeded to implement its power, under the Constitution’s Art. I, 8, cl. 4, to ‘establish an uniform Rule of Naturalization’ by producing the Act of March 26, 1790, 1 Stat. 103. That statute, among other things, stated, ‘And the children of citizens of the United States, that may be born beyond sea, or out of the limits of the United States, shall be considered as natural born citizens: Provided, That the right of citizenship shall not descend to persons whose fathers have never been resident in the United States.’” [Subsequent statutes extended it to either a citizen mother or citizen father.]

Cruz Is Eligible!

Gary DeMar is perhaps the foremost expert on America’s Founders. DeMar recently offered a history of originalist thought on Natural Born Citizen and reached this stunning conclusion: “Ted Cruz [is] more of an American than some of the drafters of the Constitution.”

Coulter Belittles Carson and Fiorina – as a black and a woman

Ann Coulter has proven herself to be nothing more than a political hack shilling for Donald Trump (and promoting herself and her book).

Yesterday, Coulter revealed her true feelings about blacks, women, the GOP, and the electorate. Moreover, she justified Trump at every turn while attacking his chief competitors, without regard for either truth or decency. Just as she did with Romney, Coulter defended Trump’s many flip-flips, saying, “I think these [criticisms of Trump’s flip-flopping] are all unfair.”[1]

According to Coulter, Ben Carson and Carly Fiorina are so popular with the people because they are merely novelty candidates: one is a black conservative, the other a female conservative. Yes, Coulter’s lowest common denominator is race and gender. Identity politics is at the heart of the Ann Coulter we have come to know.[2] (Do conservatives really have to emulate Hillary Clinton and the Left’s obsession with identity politics?)[3]

For many years, Coulter has promoted racist and sexist stereotypes[4] which clearly demonstrate how she views blacks, women, the GOP, and the average American voter.

Ben Carson – an Unqualified Black

Asked why she has been so critical of Carson, Coulter caustically blurted, “We’re so happy we have a little black Republican [Ben Carson].” Amazing! Coulter really thinks Carson’s surge in the polls is simply because he is black?

Coulter added, “Oh, we have a woman who’s a Republican, oh, it’s so amazing. Oh, we have a black who’s a Republican. They don’t know what their positions are!” That’s not true! Carson and Fiorina have given many interviews and press conferences espousing their views.

In effect, Coulter is saying that Carson’s only qualification is being black and Fiorina’s only qualification is being a woman. Apart from their racial/gender traits, Coulter thinks that these two individuals are unqualified.

Coulter actually denies the obvious! Ben Carson has phenomenally high favorability ratings. People like Carson. They recognize his genuineness, honesty, and integrity. They appreciate his humble, soft-spoken demeanor, his clarity of thought, and his humor. One might call him the ultimate anti-establishment, anti-Trump candidate.

Carly Fiorina – an Unqualified Girl

Asked about the Fox debate with the lower tier of candidates, Coulter said that she was unimpressed and regarded it as a snooze-fest (feigning an exaggerated snore). A record-setting television audience clearly disagreed.

As for Coulter’s opinion of Fiorina, “No, I have not been impressed with her. … Not only is she wrong on [anchor babies], she’s bossy!”

Bossy? This is the best Coulter can come up with? A sexist cliché?

If anything, Coulter and Trump are the bossy ones. Why not just call Carson an uppity black and Fiorina just a girl. Oh, but she does!

Asked what she thought of CNN revising their debate criteria to conform with reality, Coulter smugly smirked, “No, they’re adding 11 because she’s a girl!”

A girl? Coulter tried that stunt a few weeks ago.[5] (It didn’t work then, either.)

Fiorina is a successful businesswoman who has travelled the world extensively, met with world leaders far more productively than Hillary Clinton ever did, and communicates well her views and her vision for America. She is, also, perhaps quicker on her feet than Coulter. (Oops!)

Like Carson, Fiorina is not a “token” anything. Fiorina trounced the other candidates in her Fox debate. She won the debate and she deserves to be in the top tier in the next debate based upon her performance and her high ranking in the polls. Even her fellow candidates agree.

Ann Coulter – an Unqualified Hack

But Coulter has her own agenda: promoting herself and reshaping America into the image she envisions. As she has done for almost two decades, Coulter has decided who the best GOP candidate is and she is willing to foist that candidate on America regardless of what the rest of America thinks about it.[6]

Ironically, she backed George W. Bush long before his political positions were known (he had a huge war chest at the time), but now she belittles Carson, claiming no one knows his positions.

Coulter has a no-holds-barred, no-quarter-given approach to political discourse. She attacks anyone and everyone who threaten either her agenda or her Chosen One.[7] She defended Romney against all his foes[8] and is now doing so for Trump.[9]

But, truth is the very first casualty in Coulter’s campaign.[10] She gets so many things wrong![11] And, to satisfy her desperate need to have her own way, Coulter willfully risks giving the Democrats the victory in 2016.[12]

Will Coulter’s hubris be the death of America?[13]

Are Coulter’s ‘Facts’ Right?

Ann Coulter has been sacked by the Truth[1] more often than RG3 has been sacked by the Detroit Lions.

Coulter often does speak truth, but she all too often tells lies. Discerning between truth and lies can be problematic with Coulter. During her latest book tour, Coulter has told countless lies. Small lies. Big lies. Smug lies. Hurtful lies. Shameful lies.

Sacked

One tactic Coulter uses to present her propaganda[2] (to promote herself and her agenda) is that of speaking with conviction. She will forcefully and vehemently lie with the expectation that her seeming conviction will convince others of her falsehoods.[3]

Coulter v. Colmes

Before highlighting some of the many falsehoods from Coulter’s current book tour (so many lies, so little time), it would be instructive to consider an exchange with Alan Colmes:[4]

Coulter: “The truth about immigration is always the same; the lies are always different. I look at the studies. You know, you have to read down and figure out, where’s the lie here? Where’s the lie there? They lie in all different kinds of ways.”

Colmes: “So whenever I present data you don’t like, you just say it’s a lie.”

Coulter: “Exactly!

Colmes: “So every study is wrong except the ones you quote?”

Coulter: “Look! I show the data. You can look at it yourself.”

Whenever Coulter is confronted with facts she cannot refute, she will dismiss them or deny their veracity.

Coulter’s False “Facts” on Her Book Tour

Here are just a few of Coulter’s many prevarications:

ISIS poses no threat to the American homeland.[5] “I don’t even care about ISIS! … ISIS is not at our doorstep.”[6] And, “I have a little tip. If you don’t want to be killed by ISIS, don’t go to Syria.”[7]

ISIS: 0.[8] Dismissing the terrorist threat in America, Coulter concluded a column: “Now go back to worrying about ISIS.”[9]

America has taken in 25% of Mexico.[10] “America has already taken in one-fourth of Mexico’s entire population.”[11] And, “We’ve taken one quarter of Mexico’s population.”[12]

Civil rights[13] are only for blacks.[14] “The only time you should be able to sue for discrimination is if you are an African-American. That’s it! That’s it! I don’t want to hear about anybody else. You can hire whomever you want to. You can fire whomever you want to. … Civil rights are for blacks.”[15]

Diversity is white.[16] Ann Coulter’s America is exceedingly small and insular. Coulter crows, “It used to be more diverse, admittedly from white, Western European countries, mostly. But I consider, you know, the Scotch, the Irish, the English – I think that’s enough diversity. That really mixes it up for me.”[17]

America will be a WASP nation again.[18] Coulter explained (emphasis added): “It’s a monochromatic WASP country that other ethnicities have come to and for the first 400 years of its existence, (as a colony and then as a country) the ‘wildly diverse’ immigrants were other white western Europeans. That was the extent of the diversity.”[19]

And, “Send me a million people who want to come to America, and I will decide them all before breakfast. I can pretty much decide on looks; it would save a lot of money.”[20]

Coulter has never been accused of racism.[21] “One thing I have never been called, ah, is, is, is, is a racist. Um, anyone, anyone who reads my book – or, or Mugged – will see, um, that that would be a very difficult case to make.”[22]

All immigrants are bad.[23] “My only quibble with [Trump] is that, No. 1, it’s legal immigrants, too. And, No. 2, there are no good ones.”[24]

Pro-lifers are putzes[25] and sissies.[26] “Exactly. So sick of the anti-abortion machismo from right wing sissies.”[27]

And, “… their big thing is to keep talking about this abortion thing. Well, that’s great if it were 1977. I’d think you’re really brave and you’re doing a great thing. But I kind of think you’re just a putz imitating what was good forty years ago at this point.”[28]

Mitt Romney was better than Reagan.[29] “[Romney] did better than Reagan did. I think that’s pretty good.”[30] And “The best we ever had was Mitt Romney.”[31]

Donald Trump could win as a third-party candidate.[32] “[A third party candidacy] would be fantastic! Go, Trump, Go!”[33] And “I think he could be not only a nominee who could win but a third party candidate who could win.”

Hillary Clinton will be Democrat nominee.[34] “I promise you Jeb or Rubio are going to lead to a Hillary presidency.”[35] And, “You have to vote for Hillary over those two[36] [Bush and Rubio].”[37]

Nikki Haley is an ignorant immigrant:[38] “Well, I’m a student of American history. On the other hand, [Nikki Haley] is an immigrant and does not understand America’s history.”[39]

Ted Cruz is ineligible to be President:[40] “Ted Cruz gave a good answer on immigration. Too bad he’s not a natural born citizen!”[41]

Carly Fiorina is just a woman who can talk:[42] “I’ve turned against [Carly Fiorina] as of yesterday with the hot, hot hate of a thousand suns. … At first, I admit I was suspicious because I hate this, ‘Oh, a woman can talk, oh, isn’t that’s great?’”[43]

Ann Coulter is better that Donald Trump.[44] “Trump’s a piker compared to moi.”[45]

Coulter is Not Conservatism’s Best

Delusions of grandeur aside, Coulter cannot be trusted because she thinks too highly of herself and she regards her lies as superior to the truth that we all need to make informed decisions.

RG3 boasted: “I feel like I’m the best quarterback in the league, and I have to go out and show that … There’s guys in this league that have done way more than me. But I still view myself as the best because that’s what I work toward every single day.”

Throughout her book tour,[46] Coulter has boasted about her superiority,[47] praising herself[48] and her book.[49]

Coulter is sacked by truth on a weekly, if not almost daily, basis. Until Coulter speaks the truth and sticks with the truth, Conservatives should not stick with Coulter.[50]

Coulter Claims Cruz Ineligible

In the midst of the first GOP presidential debate, Ann Coulter made the astonishing claim that Ted Cruz is ineligible to be President!

Coulter tweeted: “Ted Cruz gave a good answer on immigration. Too bad he’s not a natural born citizen!”[1] Although she quickly deleted her tweet, a few weeks later she again claimed, “Cruz is not a natural born citizen.”[2]

Now you tell us! But is it true?

Cruz-NBC

No, Ann got this one wrong,[3] too. (And she knows it. Ann deleted that tweet from her twitter feed.)

Constitutional scholar Mark Levin explains:

“The Framers’ understanding, combined with statutes enacted by the first Congress, indicate that the phrase [natural born citizen] means both birth abroad to American parents in a manner regulated by federal law and birth within the nation’s territory regardless of parental citizenship. The Supreme Court has confirmed that definition on multiple occasions and in various contexts.”[4]

Ted Cruz’s eligibility is incontestable, as pointed out be Levin in his video (produced in 2013).

Why would Ann lie? Donald Trump[5] is her new political savior.[6] In Ann’s words: “[Donald Trump is] America’s savior.”[7]

Free Republic Response

Because Coulter deleted her tweet, few people know of it. But people at Free Republic saw it. Here are a few of their observations:

  • “Looks like Ann pulled that tweet from her feed. Too late, though.”
  • “She’s trying to pull support from Cruz to Trump by throwing out flat out lies. I can’t stand Ann.”
  •  “Former Chistie/Romney gal now on board with the former Democrat/Independent/whatever will make me the most money post primary candidate.”
  •  “I think Coulter has lost most of the stature she ever had with her love affair for RINOS over the past few election cycles.”
  •  “Ann always becomes unhinged when she’s in the grip of one of her political crushes. I remember one instance in 2012 when she started screaming – literally shrieking – about Romney on Hannity’s radio show. Sean seemed taken aback and said, ‘Good grief, calm down.’”
  •  “That’s the final straw. Ann is all about Ann.”
  •  “Last cycle she pushed Christie and then Romney, telling us how he was the only one who could win.”
  •  “Ann has been talking about this for some time. But she’s been erratic. Sometimes she says she says Cruz is ineligible. Sometimes she says she doesn’t know. Once she tweeted that he was eligible.”
  •  “Ann Coulter, an accomplished and proud polemicist.”

Yes, Ann is a proud polemicist.[8] Vanity[9] has unhinged her from reality.[10] But Coulter still wants us to obey her[11] and will do whatever she can do achieve her goals.[12] Coulter, the propagandist![13]

Update: In her Veterans’ Day column, Coulter claimed, “Too bad Cruz isn’t a natural-born citizen.”
