.@AnnCoulter – Wackier Than Ever!

#WackyNutJob Ann Coulter both claims that she is “the head of Trump’s re-election campaign” and declares that she will attack Trump more than ever in 2020.

Last year, I exposed Coulter as the Left’s secret weapon against Trump and against America.[1]

Coulter was also exposed as a betrayer extraordinaire![2] Nevertheless, Coulter has the audacity to charge Trump with disloyalty.

Cognitive dissonance reigns in Coulter’s mind. Doublethink prevails.

Coulter continually attacks Trump for pursuing our #AmericaFirst agenda (in a holistic and not compartmentalized manner), consistently denounces Trump’s character and integrity, yet, somehow, this is helping him get re-elected?

Coulter has – for years – been a liability to Conservatism, America, and Trump’s #AmericaFirst agenda. (This series of essays will flesh that out in more detail.)

Coulter is virulently anti-Trump (she hates his entire family), is crazy about a wall and only a wall, and loves his “Mexican rapists” line – which is the line which the Left points to as proof of Trump’s racism.

Thanks a lot, Ann.

Trump Keeps His Promises

Every day, we see more evidence that Trump already has an amazing record of extraordinary achievements[3] toward Making America Great Again, and most Americans – apart from Coulter and the #TDS-addled Left – can see those accomplishments and want to reward him with a #Trump2020LandslideVictory!

Unlike Coulter, Trump keeps his promises. Yet, Coulter absurdly contends that Trump hasn’t kept any of his promises.

In contrast, last year Charlie Kirk highlighted many of those kept promises:

(Question for Charlie Kirk and Turning Point USA: If Coulter has continually blatantly lied about President Trump for almost four years and is siding with the #FakeNewsMedia against Trump, then why are you sponsoring Coulter’s speeches?)

American Thinker recently reported on a Trump rally, writing (bold and underlined emphasis added):

When Trump spoke about outreach to the black community, the whole crowd roared its approval.  People there clearly believe that blacks have been enslaved by the Democrat party for too long. It’s time for them to break free and come to a community that welcomes them as fellow Americans who can enjoy this land’s bounty, rather than as a victim class that can reliably be played for votes as needed.

While the crowd may have been mostly white, there was nothing else “mostly” about it. Judging by looks, there were young families, retirees, current and former military, cops, blue-collar workers, white-collar workers, bikers, farmers, scads of “women for Trump,” high school and college students, polished urban people, and rough hewn country people.  What bound them together was a shared love of country and, because he is serving this country well, love of Trump.

In 2020, they’re supporting him more fervently than ever because he kept those promises. That was the theme they came to over and over again: he kept his promises.

And they agreed with his policies: a controlled border protects us from criminals, job-takers, and disease; socialism is bad; the Second Amendment is good; law enforcement is good; Trump’s economic policies are great; skin color shouldn’t matter; and Israel deserves America’s support. They see only good coming from Trump having four more years – and, given how Congress and the press treated him during three of his first four years, they jokingly agree that he should get a do-over.

To the above list, I would add his revamping of the judiciary, incredible support for the pro-life movement, opposition to human trafficking, and restoration of America’s position on the world stage.

In contrast, Coulter attacks Trump whenever he deals with anything which is not related to the wall or immigration. Coulter’s tunnel vision blinds her to the reality of what Trump is doing – an end run around the #DeepState, #Resistance, and #FakeNewsMedia.

Moreover, President Trump is for all Americans, not just the white Americans Coulter demands he cater to.

Trump’s Kept Promises!

American Thinker provided superb analysis of Trump’s economic achievements, writing (emphasis added):

When Trump took office, the U.S and World economies were slowing. The CBO projected job growth of 1.8 million in Trump’s first three years. We were told that the labor force was aging and that is all we could get.  Economic “experts” like Paul Krugman and Mark Zandi, who always shill for Democrats, predicted a severe recession with millions of job losses.

Instead, in the first three years we got around seven million new jobs, one million fewer part time jobs, a higher labor participation rate, a record high around seven million job openings and we finally got rising wages, especially for those at the bottom.

We also got record oil production because of Trump’s policies, and despite rising interest rates, we have had soaring stock markets, until the current coronavirus scare, because of Trump’s tax cuts.

We also got stabilized health care insurance rates after Trump got rid of the individual mandates – despite predictions prices would soar. Freedom of choice and more competition always work. We have a lot of slow earners. Life expectancy finally ticked back up after getting rid of the individual mandates.

We also have fewer people on food stamps because more people, especially minorities, the disabled, blue collar workers and the less educated, have more economic opportunities and are earning more. Many categories of workers have reached record low unemployment. No, President Obama, it did not take magic to bring back manufacturing jobs, it just took good policies.

We were told that the tax cuts would only help the rich and would cause revenues to go down trillions. Those were both lies.

It is not luck that the U.S economy is doing so much better than Europe and other countries around the World. It is because Trump’s policies focus every day on getting the power and purse back to the people as fast as possible instead of building up the greedy, powerful government. He is the opposite of the dictator and fascist that he is called.

American Thinker also outlined many of Trump’s judicial accomplishments, writing:

In the two to three years since that rash of decisions, Trump and Sen. Mitch McConnell have been working steadily to break the stranglehold activist judges have on the federal judicial system. To that end, they have placed 193 new judges in the federal system.

These are judges who do not believe that it is their role to legislate from the bench, who do not believe that the Constitution is a “living document” that can be folded, spindled, and mutilated to justify any outcome they want, and who do not believe that their emotional responses override the law.  Instead, strict constructionists believe that it is their responsibility to interpret the Constitution and the law as written, and as the drafters intended, regardless of their preferred outcome.

Donald Trump is finally able to fulfill his promises regarding immigration. And unlike what Obama did, when he unconstitutionally implemented his “DREAMer” policies, Trump is not rewriting or ignoring existing law. Instead, Trump has been working to enforce federal immigration laws as written. It took getting a majority of strict constructionist judges on the federal bench to stop activist judges from blocking his efforts to enforce the law.

But Coulter still vilifies Trump for not building a wall on her timetable!

#RussiaHoax Continues

American Thinker also had a feature which addressed the illogical and ideological fallacy of the whole spectrum of #RussiaHoax claims that we have seen over the past four years. He writes (emphasis added):

It is relatively easy to surmise the kind of leader whom Vladimir Putin or Xi Jinping would love to see leading America.

That leader would be weak, show little interest in a militarily strong America or its allies, and implement policies that would weaken America and American influence. That leader would be skeptical of capitalism and would be advocating the dismemberment of the U.S. energy sector, since this would significantly boost Russia’s economic prospects and global influence while crippling America. That leader would propose obscene levels of government spending to bury the country under a mountain of debt. He would be all in on open borders.  He would be groovy with unfair trade agreements and would seek to tie America’s hands behind its back with ineffective international treaties and agreements. That leader would be a committed globalist inclined to see America as the problem. He might even own a flexible red plastic reset button.

Notably, there are candidates aplenty in the race who check the right boxes, and none of them is named Trump. Anyone who is telling you Russia wants Trump to be re-elected is telling the big lie, one that is so absurd that only a university-educated fool would believe it. It also demonstrates that the media and their fellow Democrat travelers are convinced that Americans really are a special kind of stupid.

Coulter ignores the daily and hourly onslaught of attacks against President Trump and foolishly adds to those attacks!

#DeepStateCoup

Is Coulter unmindful of the depth to which the Left has sought to undo the 2016 election and prevent a #Trump2020LandslideVictory?

In fact, Coulter seems sure that he will lose if he doesn’t build a wall to her liking.

American Thinker offered highlights from 2015 to the present. Here are a few selected paragraphs:

The Justice Department then used this fictitious document to commit fraud on the FISA Court. The DOJ needed to lie in order to spy on and infiltrate the Trump campaign. Its agents needed insurance to make sure Hillary won. They didn’t care how many people and families they destroyed and how many crimes they had to commit to achieve their only goal, which was to elect Hillary. So far, few, if any, of the criminals in the Justice Department have been charged.

Most of the media never cared about any of the crimes or unrelenting attacks on Trump. In fact, they were a major participant.

Then, Heaven forbid, Trump beat the odds and won, and the attacks escalated. Most of the media, bureaucrats, and other Democrats set out to impeach Trump, no matter how many fictional charges they had to bring. The investigations and fake articles have been unrelenting. The number of people Democrats are willing to destroy as they quest for power is pathetic.

Still, Coulter joins the chorus of far-left activists denouncing Trump, while claiming she is helping him!

Coulter’s ever-increasing wackiness is recounted in Joker: Ann Coulter Unplugged, which provides an in-depth, detailed and holistic exposé of Ann Coulter.

Coulter’s Berkeley Bluff

Ann Coulter has been undeservedly hailed a valiant heroine for the Battle at Berkeley, yet her perceived defiance of leftist mobs and censoring administrators was not really at all courageous.

In fact, Coulter never expected or intended to give a speech at Berkeley! It was all a clever ruse and publicity stunt. Bravado, not bravery, marked Coulter’s Berkeley bluff.

After successfully portraying herself as a courageous free speech warrior – having gotten exactly what she wanted: publicity and a new image – Coulter did not give what would have been a truly “free” (no honorarium) speech in what she herself insisted was the “safest place on earth” for her.

Before getting into details, let’s recall that Berkeley has justifiably been almost universally condemned (except by some on the far left) for not allowing Coulter to speak. Nevertheless, Coulter is not the courageous heroine she would have you believe her to be.

Coulter’s Last Stand

I gave Ann an Alamo Award in 1997 for her unquestioned courage – at that time – in speaking truth to power, at the risk of losing her livelihood. At Berkeley, Coulter risked nothing whatsoever. Indeed, regardless of the outcome, Coulter expected to gain that which she sought: publicity and an image of being a heroic-martyr.

This epic battle of wills pitting liberty lovers against academic censors saturated national news coverage. Coulter’s gambit was actually just a PR stunt from the very beginning. And it worked.

Her #BerkeleyBound mission perfectly suited her purposes. Whether or not she spoke, she won. If she spoke, she was heroic; if not, she was a courageous martyr. Win-win.

The Washington Post reported: “In a classic case of ‘heads I win, tails you lose,’ conservative provocateur Ann Coulter emerged from last week’s events at the University of California at Berkeley as a free-speech martyr.”

Coulter couldn’t lose. That was the plan from the start. It was all braggadocio and bravado, a marketing ploy explicitly designed to reinvigorate her reputation and career.

Lauded as the courageous conservative facing down Berkley rioters and university censors, the truth is otherwise: Coulter never intended to speak at Berkeley.

“Pranav Jandhyala, who founded [YAF’s] UC Berkeley chapter,” “acknowledged that it was now clear that Coulter’s intention wasn’t to engage in any real dialogue, but to prove her own point.”

Of course, YAF also wanted to use the entire scenario to promote itself and highlight the rampant trampling of the First Amendment on college campuses (and elsewhere).

Coulter’s Glory

Everything Coulter says or does accrues to Coulter’s benefit. That which she seeks most of all is glory. She became addicted to fame and power in late 1997 and she has never recovered from that pathology.

Coulter generated a tremendous amount of positive media coverage with her Berkeley kerfuffle, far more than during her last book tour. She gloried in her glory on The View.

Milking the situation for all it was worth, Coulter told KTVU that she was better than Milo Yiannopoulos: “I’m not even Milo. I mean, for Pete’s sake, I’m a twelve-time New York Times’ bestselling author.” (Actually, she’s only a ten-time bestselling author, as even McInnes admitted at Berkeley.)

Coulter also likened herself to heroic figures in the past: Martin Luther King, Jr. and Winston Churchill!

She boasted to Tucker Carlson: “By the way, I am giving the speech. What are they going to do, arrest me? They can put me in the Birmingham jail.” (King would have rejected both Coulter’s racial paradigm and anti-Christian behavior.)

The host on KTVU asked Coulter the most pertinent question imaginable: “Some people would say, ‘Ann Coulter is all about Ann Coulter. Ann Coulter wants to promote Ann Coulter. Ann Coulter wants to come here – and she’s gonna come here on Thursday – and she’s gonna be a rabble-rouser and she’s gonna try to incite people.’”

Usually in situations like this, Coulter reverts to using Jesus as her model of civil disobedience (upturning tables in temple, brood of vipers speech) to justify her own vitriol. On this occasion, she argued, “Winston Churchill was promoting himself with that ‘We shall fight on the beaches’ speech.”

Then she stridently claimed, “The idea that I’m trying to get publicity off of this event could not be further from the truth on the facts.”

Timeline

Here’s the actual timeline of events according to Coulter and her speech sponsors:

BridgeUSA and YAF sponsored Coulter’s speech. She knew – given riots at Milo Yiannopoulos’ event in February – that she wouldn’t be giving her speech. The university and/or rioters would surely shut it down.

Berkeley placed ever-demanding restrictions on Coulter’s speech. She insisted that YAF concede to every single demand. Coulter could not quit. She had to wait – and wait patiently she did (because she knew it was inevitable) – for Berkeley to cancel, making her a martyr. She told Tucker Carlson, “Well, they changed the rules every ten minutes. I kept agreeing to all of their conditions – they were hoping I would cancel.”

In this high-stakes game of chicken, Berkeley flinched. Berkeley caved and cancelled her speech, enabling Coulter to play the heroic victim of institutional censorship and mob rule.

Under intense media and political pressure, Berkeley offered an alternative date, which Coulter refused, keeping the pressure on Berkeley. Her sponsors filed lawsuits.

Coulter demanded her original speaking slot, insisted she would speak, and suggested she would speak in Sproul Plaza, if need be.

Berkeley announced that it could not ensure the safety of the speaker and attendees. Then YAF folded. Coulter wrote, “We were on [the] cusp of victory and YAF backed down, refused to seek a court order or allow the College Republicans to request a court order.  It’s a sad day for free speech.”

Coulter’s sponsors caved. Coulter was incensed. Why? She wanted Berkeley to cave and herself be vindicated as a heroine. Instead, she would have to speak outdoors, something she did not want to do.

In the end, Gavin McInnes, her good friend and latest knight in shining armor, gave Coulter’s extremely-short speech on her behalf in Sproul Plaza. Coulter was there, in Berkeley, but not at that peaceful event. Afterward, she joined McInnes and supporters for drinks at George and Walt’s.

Broken Vow

To KTVU, Coulter vowed: “I was invited to give a speech. I have a contract to give a speech. I’m giving a speech.” To the Hollywood Reporter, Coulter swore, “Yes, it was officially banned, but they can’t stop me. I’m an American. I have constitutional rights.”

Just the night before, Coulter told Sean Hannity: “I do think it is possible that the Berkeley campus will be the safest place on the face of the earth because so many people are flying in to defend me.”

At the airport, Coulter said, “Safest place on earth for me, but these cowards! Who has a better idea of what the campus is gonna be like than the person who’s going there as opposed to the moron sitting in Washington?”

So – both the day before and the afternoon of “the speech” – Coulter declared Berkeley “the safest place on earth for me,” yet she assigned her speech to McInnes! She gave him that assignment the day before the speech, which she emailed to him.

Coulter is there, but does not speak herself?

Gavin McInnes tweeted the day before the speech: “The @AnnCoulter event in Berkeley is NOT canceled. I will be speaking tomorrow with @Lauren_Southern @FaithGoldy @BrittPettibone #POYB.”

Two days earlier, Coulter tweeted: “Nice day for an outdoor speech at Berkeley,” implying she would give her speech in the plaza, if necessary. Coulter told AP, “I have my flights, so I thought I might stroll around the graveyard of the First Amendment.”

Five days later, Coulter told Lou Dobbs, “I would have preferred to have spoken.”

Coulter regularly advertises upcoming speeches on her website as soon as she has them booked. She never advertised her Berkeley speech on her own website – even though YAF did on theirs – complete with date, time, and location. Why?

She never intended to speak. It was all a charade. She wanted credit for courage without being courageous. She knew Berkeley would give in.

Nothing changed between Milo and Ann and the results were wholly predictable – and expected.

Coulter’s Speech

If Coulter really planned on speaking, then she must have prepared an astonishing speech. Indeed, Coulter boasted to Carlson that it would be “a searingly brilliant speech on immigration.”

McInnes said, “Ann sent me her speech,” and then he read it, breaking in with his own running commentary. Coulter’s actual speech was less than four minutes and contained nothing new, except for her comparison of immigrants to rat feces (contained in the lead paragraph). It contained zero references to Berkeley.

Hardly “searingly brilliant.”

Coulter told Carlson that her speech was about enforcement of existing immigration laws. Her speech – given by McInnes – never addressed that issue.

Earlier that week, Coulter said she would be updating her speech. Pretty good gig, $20,000 for a four-minute speech.

McInnes introduced her speech, saying, “Ann was betrayed. She was censored. They put all the legal onus upon her so that if someone gets hurt tonight, it would have been on her head. Now it’s on my head.”

If it was so dangerous that Coulter couldn’t give her speech, why did she have McInnes risk his life – and the lives of those in the audience – to do so on her behalf?

But what did she say shortly before McInnes gave her speech? “Safest place on earth for me, but these cowards!”

Yet, Coulter wasn’t about to nail her 95 Theses on Berkeley’s wall. She let her friend do it for her, while she took all the credit.

Speech Sponsors

The non-partisan BridgeUSA and conservative Young America’s Foundation co-sponsored Coulter’s speech. [Both YAF and BridgeUSA were non-responsive to my interview requests.]

The founder of BridgeUSA explained why his organization co-sponsored Coulter’s speech – “to facilitate dialogue between political opposites.” Ironically, he wrote: “Free speech isn’t about provocation, violence, publicity stunts, selling books or testing limits” – precisely what Coulter does on a regular basis.

Further, BridgeUSA “refuse[s] to invoke the right to free speech to inflame, attack and generate publicity” – exactly the modus operandi Coulter has embraced for the past two decades.

He added, “instigating controversy for publicity does not fix a broken system,” yet BridgeUSA sponsored a self-proclaimed provocateur and polemicist to do just that. How well would David Duke be received by the Black Panthers?

At CPAC 2002, Coulter posited the notion that she should keep going further and further right to draw the culture and the left toward her. Shortly thereafter, Coulter coined a series of “rules” for talking to a liberal: being as outrageous as you can be to inflame them. No reconciliation there.

Alheli Picazo writes, “People like Coulter and Yiannopoulos aren’t brought to campus to contribute substance – hearing either speak for a few minutes quickly puts lie to claims of their brilliance. They are skilled antagonists who can reliably incite backlash from a perceived enemy.”

It is unclear why Coulter is the best spokesman for YAF on anything, even immigration (the purported topic of the series of speeches spearheaded by BridgeUSA).

YAF has 100 speakers on its roster. Only five speakers are listed for immigration; Coulter is not among them. Were none of the actual “experts” on immigration available?

Moreover, only eight YAF speakers require an honorarium of $20K or more. Surely YAF could have selected a better representative of conservatism for less money.

YAF previously sponsored Milo Yiannopoulos, who isn’t even listed on its roster. Coulter claimed she is not like Yiannopoulos, yet they are both leaders of the Alt-Right and share an Alt-Right worldview. Is YAF in agreement with those views?

Unanswered Questions

One YAF tweet was particularly confusing: “At no time was there ever a space or lecture time confirmed for Ann Coulter to speak.” Yet YAF’s event page listed the location, date, and time as 110 Sprout Hall from 7:00 to 8:30 pm on 4/27/17. What really happened?

Would it be fair to say that YAF chose both Yiannopoulos and Coulter to generate controversy, anticipating a backlash which would then highlight the thuggish behavior on the Left and their threats to the First Amendment?

Coulter’s Courage

Conservative heroine Ann Coulter has proven herself a cowardly fraud. The free speech battle at Berkeley was merely a publicity stunt for this polemicist and provocateur.

As noted above, Coulter exhibited genuine courage in 1996-97. Hence her Alamo Award.

Since then, Coulter has gotten edgier and edgier while simultaneously abandoning her principles and ideals. In doing so, Coulter has actually embraced her fears. Now she is desperately grasping for the glory she once had and which increasingly eludes her.

What she fears most is facing the truth about the person she has become. Moreover, Coulter fears that she is beyond redemption, so why not continue on her downward path. (Ann, My Redeemer Lives, and so does yours!)

Ann Coulter isn’t a voice for freedom or free speech. Ann Coulter is a voice for Ann Coulter.

Ann Coulter pretended to be a conservative long before Donald Trump did. Together, they are endeavoring to destroy the GOP and endanger the future of conservatism.

They will succeed in losing the White House (and, perhaps, both houses of Congress) to Democrats, a tragedy which could have been avoided.

Election 2016 demonstrates the unparalleled importance of character, integrity, and principles. Absent them, rogues like Trump and Coulter prevail.

Most Americans Are Establishment!

At least, Ann Coulter seems to think so!

Establishment

According to Coulter, Donald Trump is the quintessential anti-Establishment figure. Rather, Trump is your prototypical Establishment insider. He always has been and always will be. Trump knows how to work the system, get the deal, be flexible.

As for the American people, Coulter must believe that most of us are Establishment, too.

How so?

Coulter claims that anyone opposed to Trump must be, ipso facto, Establishment. In a recent twitter rant against the Koch brothers, Coulter took them to task for opposing Trump, concluding that, therefore, they must be part of the Establishment.

Most Americans are vocally and viscerally opposed to Trump. Ergo, we are Establishment!

Once praised for her logic, Coulter appears to have wholeheartedly embraced Trump’s banalities and buffoonish bravado. What a pity!

Stolen Election?

Donald Trump, and his foremost lapdog, Ann Coulter, insist that the GOP nomination and election are being “stolen” from The Donald.

The truth evades those who dwell in lies.

Stolen Election

In her April 20th column, Coulter reprised her absurd election-stealing charges,[1] distinguishing between “elections, not party-rigged conferences or caucuses.”

Every eligible voter is able to do so in a caucus, a primary, or a conference.

Coulter once loved federalism, but now – for this election cycle[2] – wants a single, uniform, monolithic system for voting. Why? Because Trump is ignorant of the rules![3]

A member of Free Republic, Kandy Atz, provided excellent analysis of one particularly nonsensical paragraph contained in one of Coulter’s more vitriolic diatribes.[4]

Coulter’s propagandistic paragraph:

Until Cruz won a primary in mean-as-a-snake Wisconsin, he hadn’t won a single primary – i.e., an ‘election’ – outside of his home state, a sister state and a state where Trump didn’t campaign. In fact, until cantankerous Wisconsin, the only primary where Cruz managed to surpass 34 percent of the vote was his home state of Texas – where he got 43.8 percent.”

You don’t have to be a particularly astute reader to recognize the nonsense contained in those words.

Here is Freeper Kandy Atz’s Response:

“Has Ann gone bat guano crazy? So states that don’t allow Democrats to select the GOP candidate are somehow evil? And they adopted rules to help … Ted Cruz? He must be really amazing to anticipate exactly where the campaign would be a year in advance and then fly all over the country in time to change the rules so that they would work perfectly just for him right at this moment. What an amazing candidate!”

“Instead of attacking Ted Cruz for playing by the rules, she should be complaining about the dysfunctional Trump campaign. He has virtually no ground game, and sometimes doesn’t even know when to show up – see his latest Washington state fiasco. Is this a serious campaign for POTUS, or just another reality TV show Ann?”

“Trump has NEVER topped 50% in any state. His best performance 49.31 was in THE MOST PROGRESSIVE STATE ON THE PLANET, politically just to the left of North Korea. Yep, that Trump fella is a force to be reckoned with. He’s unstoppable. I promise you what people in Taxachusetts want in a President is WILDLY different from most Americans, especially Christians and Conservatives. BTW – Has Cruz whined and complained about the Hawaii, Minnesota, Nevada, or Kentucky caucuses? I wonder why not? Now that the field is narrowed and Conservatives aren’t splitting their votes 3-5 ways, it will get much harder for Trump to win any state, except his mind-numbed progressive friends in the Northeast. Enjoy that lead while you have it, and oh by the way, have Trump read the rules.”

“Speaking of Texas, there were 14 people on the ballot when early voting began, and a massive influx of DNC voters/rent-a-Trump-mob types in the open primary. Even with all those advantages, Cruz still beat Trump by almost 500,000 votes. Setting aside the votes for Cruz, in the MOST RELIABLY CONSERVATIVE STATE IN THE UNION, more people voted AGAINST the progressive reality TV star than for him – (837,154 to 757,489). Don’t know how one spins that as a negative for Cruz, but it’s certainly NOT a positive for Trump moving forward.”

“The primary system in recent years has given us 2 progressives – McCain, Romney, and now a hard core NYC values big government progressive – Trump, is leading. After watching far too many Democrats vote in the GOP primary in Texas, I’m leaning more towards a caucus or closed primary in the future. The GOP cannot allow progressives, especially Democrat crossovers to have so much influence over our nominee. Ann may be happy nominating Obama-lite and Hillary-lite, but it’s the fastest way to kill turnout among Conservatives and Christians, and is disastrous for local and state races down the ticket. They are terrified at the prospect of Trump at the top of the ticket. What a nightmare that would be, even in reliably Conservative districts/counties/states.”

Ann Coulter is NOT John the Baptist

John the Baptist lost his head for proclaiming God’s truth and holiness. Ann Coulter has betrayed all that she once believed in to promote the ungodly and profane.[1]

Now Coulter is a champion of New York Values, the kind she has opposed her entire adult life.

Not John the Baptist

A recent headline exposed Coulter’s betrayal: “Ann Coulter Says Trump’s Affair With Marla Maples Was Sanctioned By God.”

Coulter Praises Donald Trump’s Adultery

In an astonishing dialogue with Eric Metaxas, Coulter defended Trump’s vice as a virtue![2] In response to Metaxas’ declaration, “His vice of choice was adultery,” Coulter replied, “Allegedly.” Allegedly? Trump boasts of his conquests and his sexual desire for his own daughter!

Coulter added, “You know where he met Marla Maples? You know where he met her? I haven’t really followed his personal story very closely but he met her in church.”

According to Coulter, Trump’s long-term affair was justified because “he did marry her.” (No comment about his subsequent divorce or any of his affairs.) Coulter even claimed, “There are degrees of murder, there are degrees of adultery.” (However, all murderers are punished!)

Coulter will countenance any evil so long as she gets her way. In this case, she wants Trump to build a wall in her honor. She said, “It’s not his strongest point, oh well. He’s the only one who’s going to build the wall.” (Except, Trump will not build the wall Coulter wants.[3] Cruz will!)[4]

Coulter Condemns Divorce and Adultery

Nevertheless, Coulter continues to reject the sacred for the profane.

Until now, Coulter has condemned adultery (and divorce) throughout her professional career, chastising any public figures caught in that practice. She is wont to call the Democrat Party the party of “killing, lying, adultery, thievery, envy.”

For Coulter, admirable people cannot be adulterers. Coulter once declared, “None of the leaders I admire [have had affairs].”[5] (Until Trump!)

Coulter immediately added, “The greatest president of this century certainly never had an affair. … Of course we know that [he never had an affair]. Ronald Reagan could not possibly have had an affair. It is beyond the realm of possibility.”

Then, faithfulness and kept promises mattered to Coulter. Now, not so much.

Coulter Touts “The Rules”

A stickler for details and the letter of the law (until Trump, that is – now, “THE RULES[6] no longer matter), Coulter has always stridently decried divorce, citing it’s close connection with adultery. Coulter explained:

“To be absolutely punctilious about the sort of Bible description of divorce, it is considered adultery because the ‘one and only’ is your one and only. So you may go through our little civil procedures but your second wife would be considered – I guess divorce would be better than adultery as long as you don’t re-marry because the marriage would technically be considered adultery.”[7]

What about Trump’s confessed adulterous affairs and two divorces?

Coulter Loves Outing Adulterers

Coulter also favors news outlets and tabloids exposing prominent figures as adulterers. She said, “I’m all for outing adulterers, whether it’s some Hollywood starlet telling on a politician. I love that.”[8]

An effusive Coulter continued, “Oh, yeah, I love that. It’s like having all these Bernie Goetzs of adultery out there. They’re preventing people from committing adultery for fear of being exposed.”

But Trump, her Savior,[9] is now off limits!

Coulter Condemns Rudy Giuliani

Indeed, Coulter regards divorce and adultery as disqualifying factors for public office.

In 2000, Coulter denounced Rudy Giuliani as an adulterer (“committed adulterer,” “chasing tail,” “pathetic,” “boob,” and “pig” “forever wetting [himself] in public”), Coulter ridiculed the appearance of his mistresses. Consider Coulter’s lengthy tirade against Giuliani’s mistresses:[10]

“It seems to me that once a woman puts her sexual attractiveness at issue by, for example, competing sexually for the husbands of other women, she’s made her relative pulchritude fair game. Indeed, it is impossible to comprehend why some Republicans are still defending Giuliani’s honor without taking note of how homely his mistresses are.” (Isn’t Coulter now defending Trump’s honor?)

Coulter’s diatribe continued: “On every possible scale – body, face, youthful appearance, accomplishments, style, pedigree, IQ – Giuliani’s wife is several orders of magnitude superior to his apparent mistresses. His latest acquisition is even more squat and frumpy than the last consort.”

Rudy Giuliani was a letch, but Donald Trump is a saint?

John the Baptist

In contrast to Coulter, John the Baptist was devoted to righteousness and holy living. John repeatedly condemned King Herod for his sexual deviancy – and lost his head for it.

As reported in the Gospel of John (6:16-18):

“But when Herod heard, he said, ‘This is John, whom I beheaded; he has been raised from the dead!’ For Herod himself had sent and laid hold of John, and bound him in prison for the sake of Herodias, his brother Philip’s wife; for he had married her. Because John had said to Herod, ‘It is not lawful for you to have your brother’s wife.’”

Jesus persistently condemned adultery, going so far as to say, “You have heard that it was said to those of old, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart (Mt. 5:27-28).”

Coulter once understood and agreed with that teaching, but now, for political purposes, Coulter calls evil good and good evil. Trump even lusts for his own daughter!

Less than a year ago, Coulter bragged, “I’ve never sucked up to anybody. I’ve always said what I believe.”[11]

(Sorry, Ann, but you’ve become the biggest suck-up in modern American history.)
