In her propagandistic column last week,[1] Coulter offered up 11 examples of “non-white immigrant” “mass murder” from 1993-2015. Coulter’s list is nonsensical and meaningless, but meaningless with a mission – to promote her own agenda.[2]

Coulter cleverly culled 11 examples from over the space of 23 years to prove that non-white immigrants are more dangerous that white citizens.

Her list is fraudulent, emphasizing the race/origin of the culprits while ignoring the reason or motivation for the violence.[3] Indeed, she does what so many on the Left do: conflate crime, insane shooting sprees, and terrorism – as if they were the same.[4]

Combining a botched robbery, shooting sprees by the mentally ill, and coordinated attacks by Islamic terrorists negates any possibility of developing a clear profile or strategy to combat or deter the violence.

Coulter’s List of Non-White Immigrant Villains

Notice that Coulter’s 11 examples of non-white immigrant mass shootings include seven incidents by the mentally ill, one botched robbery (which, by definition, is not a mass shooting), one incident of workplace violence (and probably mental illness as well), and one coldly calculated terrorist attack.

Coulter’s contrived list of “immigrants” committing crimes is just that – contrived. Coulter knows the truth. Just two months ago, Coulter wrote (emphasis added): But I notice that every mass murder is committed by someone who is mentally ill. When the common denominator is a characteristic found in about 0.1 percent of the population – I think we’ve found the crucial ingredient!”[5]

Nevertheless, Coulter now distinguishes between non-white immigrant shootings and white non-immigrant shootings, all to promote her anti-immigrant book and agenda.

Mental illness is defined by neither race nor ethnic origin. Neither is it confined to one’s immigration or citizenship status. Coulter used her column to distract from the Islamic jihad [6] taking place as she wrote her column and to thrust immigration back into the spotlight.

Coulter’s Obsession with Whites

Throughout her book tour, Coulter has lionized whites as the Founders of America and saviors of the world [7] and vilified non-WASP cultures [8] as “primitive,” “savage,” “barbarian.” Indeed, for Coulter, “all immigrants are bad.”[9]

In her column, Coulter correctly indicted the media with an anti-white bias, writing, “The media are tickled pink whenever they have a white perpetrator because it happens so rarely in a country that is majority white.”

Coulter’s conclusion, however, is fraudulent. She claims (emphasis added): “After 20 years of nearly non-stop mass murder by non-white immigrants in a country that is still majority white, our media have the audacity to claim that tens of thousands of Syrian Muslims are less dangerous than the most pacific human beings in world history: 21st-century white American men.”

Coulter was very selective in her choice of mass shootings to highlight (almost all of them derived from her book) to place an anti-immigrant slant to the discussion. Of course, she ignored many high-profile cases which refute her contention that “the most pacific human beings in world history [are] 21st-century white American men.”

We could begin with Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold, whose 1999 Columbine, CO, massacre has become the model and inspiration for others. Harris and Klebold killed 13 and injured 21.

Here are a few of the more recent “mass shootings” committed by Coulter’s “pacific” white men:

As with Coulter’s anti-immigrant list, most of the perpetrators listed above committed mayhem while mentally ill. One could argue the white supremacist in this list is also mentally ill. Immigration status had nothing to do with any of these tragedies. Whiteness – or Otherness – is not germane.

From the beginning, the San Bernardino attack had all the hallmarks of a Paris-style terrorist attack. The only question was by whom. In an astonishing tweet, Coulter totally missed the mark, tweeting: “This was an amazingly prescient column. I should have gone with my original subhead: ODDS ARE IT’S NOT WHITE MEN.”

Coulter, obsessed with race,[10] fails to grasp that this was an ISIS-inspired terrorist attack on U.S. soil – just as her column dismissed the threat posed by ISIS to Americans in America.

Coulter was wrong at the beginning of this year when she claimed “ISIS is not on our doorstep”[11] and she is wrong now when she shrugs off domestic terrorism.[12]

Ann Coulter’s column on the San Bernardino, Paris-style massacre by an Islamist couple repeats her year-long refrain: Stop Immigrants, Not Terrorists.

Perhaps inhabited by the spirit of Obama,[1] Coulter cannot admit that ISIS and other Islamists [2] pose a deadly threat to Americans in America. Instead, she conflates immigrants with terrorists and focuses exclusively on the former while ignoring the latter.

Like the Black Lives Matter group that was incensed over the recent Paris attack [3] – not for the carnage wrought but for taking the spotlight off of them – Coulter was equally incensed that her pet cause (immigration) was overshadowed by the deadliest attack in France since World War II.[4]

Coulter deliberately conflates routine criminal activity and abnormal killing sprees conducted by the mentally ill [5] with terrorism perpetrated by Islamists intent on destroying America.[6]

Coulter’s response to the San Bernardino mayhem is to focus exclusively on the immigrants [7] and deny the Islamist threat already here.[8] Most of the examples Coulter regularly cites are of Hispanic immigrant crime, not Islamist terrorism.[9]

Coulter’s solution is to stop the influx of immigrants and refugees into America. But, at the same time, Coulter has no interest in stopping the Islamists who are already here. Rather, she denies that they even exist!

In denying the threat, Coulter preempts any possibility of combating that clear and present danger.

When Coulter discusses “immigrants” she includes native-born Americans.

For Coulter, unless your family traces its pedigree back to the Mayflower, you are not a real American.[10] Coulter falsely called Gov. Nikki Haley (R-SC) an ignorant immigrant.[11] In Coulter’s world, even Jews and Catholics are suspect.[12] In fact, Coulter refuses to countenance refugee status for tens of thousands of Christians being martyred by ISIS and other Islamists.[13]

As events unfolded in San Bernardino, Coulter tweeted (emphasis added): “Forget the terrorism, crime, welfare etc. Why are we bringing in ppl who are ugly? My Tinder immigration application process much better.” For Coulter, the only thing that matters is immigration. ISIS? Not at all.

Coulter opposes all immigration, claims all immigrants are bad,[14] and frequently cites selective statistics and specific horrific crimes by immigrants as if they were normative for the entire immigrant population. Coulter is wrong. Most immigrants are not bad people.

On the other hand, all Islamists (even those in America right now) are bad people. Failing to recognize that, and to profile accordingly to prevent future massacres, will ensure that future massacres do occur.
