@AnnCoulter Still Enraged at CPAC Rejection

Polemicist Ann Coulter remains enraged at CPAC for its six-year-long rejection of her, despite the fact that she is wholly responsible for her plight. Over many years, Coulter snookered, scammed, and betrayed CPAC … yet she still feels entitled to speak at CPAC.

How blind arrogance can be!

Since even before 2014 (her last appearance at CPAC), Coulter has disparaged CPAC for not being conservative enough. Even in 2020, Coulter has tweeted multiple times attacking CPAC.

Here’s one:

For years, Coulter’s ego fed upon her self-identity as the darling of CPAC and, now that CPAC has resoundingly rejected her, she acts like the stereotypical scorned woman.

Her devoted fans seem immune to the irony and puzzled by the fact that CPAC has also banished RINO Mitt Romney. Coulter was devoted to Romney for fully a decade or more, this despite him calling himself an “extreme conservative” (at CPAC, no less) – as if any conservative would self-identify as extreme.

Let’s review what happened. (Facts matter.)

CPAC Shunned Coulter in 2015 and Ann was Incensed

In 2015, for the first time in 18 years, Ann Coulter was not invited to speak at CPAC.

CPAC Finally Rejected Coulter, despite many factors in her favor:

Longevity. Coulter has spoken at every CPAC conference from 1998-2014.

Coulter was the author of ten books (nine were best-sellers) with an eleventh book to be released this June.

Coulter was the legal correspondent for Human Events, author with Regnery, and a speaker for the Young America’s Foundation, the Claire Boothe Luce Policy Institute, and the College Republicans, all represented at CPAC.

Many of Coulter’s powerful friends were speakers at CPAC and associated with the leadership at CPAC.

Still, CPAC snubbed Coulter. Why?

Why CPAC Rejected Coulter

After 9/11, Coulter’s CPAC appearances were continually mired in controversies of Coulter’s own making. Her provocative rhetoric became extreme. She regularly employed elimination rhetoric. Coulter seemingly sought to upstage CPAC at every turn.

One year, a host of conservative organizations and bloggers threatened to boycott CPAC if Coulter was invited to speak. Coulter was rejected as a speaker but, through slight-of-hand, spoke anyway. In both 2013 and 2014, Coulter was invited at the last minute, due to aggressive campaigns by Coulter to appear. (Friends in high places have always come to her aid.)

Coulter’s antics continued in 2014, with Coulter coordinating a phony debate, disparaging poor people, issuing death threats, and falsely claiming to have been raped.[1]

But in 2014, Coulter crossed a non-negotiable red-line: Coulter publicly betrayed CPAC.

Coulter has a long history of betraying friends,[2] colleagues,[3] and clients.[4] Then, Coulter publicly betrayed CPAC.

Within weeks of her appearance at CPAC 2014, Coulter boasted of scamming CPAC. She bragged about this “really so brilliant” scam to thwart CPAC’s agenda “despite CPAC’s best efforts.”

Nicely done, Ann.

Such is Coulter’s ego that she believes – after scamming CPAC – that CPAC would still be obligated to invite her to speak in subsequent years.

Coulter’s Ego Wounded

As a self-absorbed narcissist, Coulter feels entitled to speak at CPAC, no matter what she has said or done in the past. That sense of entitlement has been apparent for more than a decade.

In 2014, Coulter was irate that she was invited to only a debate (even though she was able to pick her debate partner, her friend, Mickey Kaus). Coulter did not want to settle for a debate. She wanted to give a speech.

Coulter then took the grace extended by CPAC and “scammed” them.

In 2015, even though she was justifiably not invited, Coulter extended her wrath toward CPAC.

Coulter on the Offensive

Coulter told the Washington Examiner: “I wasn’t invited. I might just show up anyway just to piss them off. I could be the Bibi Netanyahu of CPAC.”

Why would Coulter want to piss off CPAC? Ego? The woman scorned? A vengeful nature?

Did you notice, Coulter places herself and her situation on par with that of Bibi Netanyahu?! Coulter likens herself to the Israeli Prime Minister, renowned for his courage, his eloquence, and his principled character.

(Instead of accusing CPAC of conspiring to silence her, Coulter should have acted like a lady and either demurred to answer or acknowledged the wealth of talented professionals available to speak at CPAC. As for CPAC, ACU Chairman Matt Schlapp responded with grace: “Ann Coulter is welcome at CPAC. We come up with the agenda. There’s so many speaking slots; you go through who would be a good fit. She’s a great fit here. She’s welcome to be here.”)

But beyond that, Coulter’s tweets also reveal her own denial of reality and her self-absorption.

In the top tweet, Coulter mocked CPAC, a sure strategy to elicit their future support.

In the next tweet, Coulter boasted of her popularity, not a particularly endearing trait.

In the third tweet, Coulter again claimed that the reason for her exclusion from CPAC is amnesty. This is a red herring. That year, CPAC repeatedly addressed amnesty. Many of the speakers, including presidential candidates, spoke of amnesty. Chris Christie, Jeb Bush, and Marco Rubio were specifically queried about their views on immigration.

Coulter also tweeted what she had emailed to the Washington Examiner: “I’ll be the Bibi Netanyahu of CPAC!”

Chutzpah!

CPAC has discovered that we should Never Trust Ann Coulter – at ANY Age![5]

Even though she considers herself indispensable to CPAC (and CPAC indispensable to her standing as a great conservative leader), Coulter was missed only by herself.

@AnnCoulter’s Bush Derangement Syndrome

Self-described polemicist Ann Coulter is well known for embracing elimination rhetoric. She equally enjoys mocking the recently deceased and those grieving their loss.

Barbara Bush Funeral

2018 would prove no exception to the Coulter Ghastly Eulogy Rule. Coulter’s tongue-in-cheek tweet must have sliced into the hearts of the bereaved who knew of her hatred for them.

George Herbert Walker Bush Funeral

With the passing of President George H.W. Bush, Coulter kicked her Defaming the Dead and Bereaved Shtick into high gear without a moment’s hesitation.

Coulter deliberately and maliciously published her weekly column early to taint George H.W. Bush’s public funeral at the National Cathedral. She sought to coincide her smear job as closely as possible with the funeral services.

In her column, Coulter totally disparaged the accomplishments and character of a true American war hero, public servant, and an honorable, God-fearing family man.

Instead, she claimed that the Willie Horton ad was “the one thing Bush got right in his entire public career.”

In addition to a very flawed reading of the man and his presidency, Coulter got one crucial detail totally wrong: Bush did not produce the Horton ad; rather, it was the product of the National Security PAC, which, by law, was not allowed to coordinate its activities with a particular candidate.

Again, the central core point of Coulter’s columnBush’s greatest 30 seconds of his public lifewas totally wrong.

One of Bush’s most striking accomplishments was his nomination of Justice Thomas to the Supreme Court!

Coulter’s close friend, Greg Gutfeld, had this to say:

“When you thought of Mr. [George H.W.] Bush, what did you most think about? Patriotism, duty, family, faith. Isn’t that the stuff that is openly mocked today by pop culture, the media, academia? … Yet, this week, those were the things that mattered!”[1]

Well, apparently not to Coulter.

Coulter’s column (in lieu of an actual eulogy) totally misrepresented the man, his character, and his presidency. Coulter claimed that Bush’s finest moment was the 30-second Willie Horton ad that, in fact, Bush had nothing to do with.

Rather than enumerate his many accomplishments over a lifetime of public service (beginning as an American war hero), Coulter denigrated him at every opportunity.

Bush was her political foe (on her issues) and, therefore, an evil person.

Coulter even managed to get a dig in for both the McCain and Bush families. (Classy!)

This is how most Americans remember George H.W. Bush and Barbara Bush.

American Thinker offered thoughtful reflections:

“In Bush’s funeral this week we remembered how long we have endured this wasteland of character.”

Continuing (emphasis added):

“Perhaps the strongest note of wistful longing in Bush’s funeral was the lifelong example of a leader who lived by a set of transcendent values.  Honor, friendship, loyalty, honesty – Americans have always believed that these immaterial attributes were the basis of a good life.”

Common human decency and honor continue to elude Coulter. Perhaps that’s why so many people regard her as heartless.

Joker addresses the physical, mental, emotional, psychological, familial, sexual, and spiritual dimensions which have shaped the Ann Coulter that we know today and it highlights both the positives and the negatives of Coulter’s life and career.

Ann Coulter: Betrayer Extraordinaire

Ann Coulter and I became friends in the summer of 1997, or so I thought. My side was real; hers faux.

Ann Coulter’s Betrayals

During that time, I gave her everything she asked for and more. Ann was delighted with her Alamo Award, writing to me, “I love those quotes. that is much better than an interview would have been. they are totally, totally great. yes, please, please drop off or send as many copies as you can part with – I’m going to use it as part of my press packet. I had forgotten making most of those remarks but they do sound awfully familiar. thank you for compiling them” [SIC].

But I quickly discovered certain disturbing things about her. In mid-August, Ann was irate over little details contained in items about, and profiles of, her in three different publications.

She asked me to write letters-to-the-editor on her behalf. (I discovered that she routinely scoured the media for anything about her and that she hated any criticism of any kind, no matter how miniscule.)[1]

Ann found my letters-to-the-editor to be lacking in usefulness and, therefore, concluded that I was no longer useful to her. She dumped me with a nasty email. (I later discovered that she threw everything I had given her in the trash.)

But 12 days later, Ann feigned friendship to get back one of those things she had foolishly thrown away: an 11-page collection of Coulter quote highlights from her appearances on TV.

Having gotten what she wanted, she again dumped me (without telling me so this time). Instead, she made numerous false promises, keeping none of them during a four-month period.

When I confronted her about her behavior, she lashed out at me, using a strikingly similar argument she used to her boss at Human Events (without directing any hostility to him).

Coulter has turned her back on (and been rejected by) friends, colleagues, and organizations who were once her champions and benefactors. I remember Coulter saying on Politically Incorrect that she never remembers ex-boyfriends once they become exes. Apparently, her anti-social behavior applies to everyone.

Coulter once boasted of betraying her boss, Sen. Spencer Abraham (R-MI), when she was his staffer in 1995-96. Coulter secretly worked with other senate staffers opposed to Abraham’s immigration agenda. (Coulter was Deep State before the term was invented. No wonder she doesn’t attack the Deep State opposing Trump!)

At the very same time she betrayed me in 1997, she betrayed Paula Jones by leaking attorney-client privileged information to scuttle the settlement Jones’ desperately sought and she betrayed her employer,[2] the Center for Individual Rights, by engaging in a “pro-bono” political case CIR would have shunned (that’s why she kept her activities so secret).

In 1998, Coulter plagiarized both the words and the work of her colleague at Human Events, Michael Chapman, to write her first bestselling book, High Crimes and Misdemenaors. She has never given him due credit for his contribution and she even claimed that she’d never heard of him.[3]

In 1999 and on other occasions, Coulter frequently lied to her friend, Geraldo Rivera, on-air, about her connection with Linda Tripp’s tapes and other issues.

In 2000, Coulter sought to betray the people of Connecticut by running a “total sham campaign” for Congress.[4]

Over a period of many years, Coulter betrayed a host of individuals and organizations who had been very supportive of her.

Her fans are no exception. That’s what she did with me in 1996-97, emailing me her TV appearance schedule so that I could videotape her, transcribe highlights, promote her in my newsletter, and write supportive letters-to-the-editor on her behalf. Then, “Goodbye!”

Coulter forsook her own loyal fan club, one still linked on her website, seemingly for no reason whatsoever (the missing link remains missing).

In September 2017, Coulter boasted of having “TWO fan pages,” but by that December, she severed ties with her long-standing fan club.

Her now defunct fan club had a widely-used forum which promoted her books, columns, speeches, and other events. It vigorously discussed her columns and defended her from spurious attacks. And it actively aided her in organizing and setting up events across the country. They gave her 100% loyalty.

In the end, Coulter has also betrayed her readers and the American People with lies and fabrications, making things up from her own imagination. This was especially true during the past five presidential election cycles during which she defamed any candidate who threatened her chosen nominee.[5]

Let’s look beneath Coulter’s faux humanity. She revealed the real Coulter in an interview for The Drive Home (9/29/16): a phony hypocrite who pretends to like those she hates.

Speaking of conservatives opposed to Trump, Coulter boasted (emphasis added), “But all the people that I had to be talked into liking before because they’re technically on my side, whoa, they’re all gone now.”

Her next words: “I don’t have to pretend I like them anymore. It was all the ones I hated. Gone, gone, gone.”

Hear that, conservatives! Coulter no longer has to pretend to like you. Talk about phony! She really hated you all along!

You are now “gone, gone, gone” down into her personal memory hole. Except, naturally for her, Coulter never forgives and she never forgets.

A split microsecond later, Coulter singled out one name: “John Podhoretz.” (Podhoretz, a former friend and ally, incensed Coulter by shaming her inexcusable behavior.)

A few seconds later, Coulter claimed, “I don’t have to defend the people who were the most embarrassing to our side.”

(Who is the real embarrassment, Ann?)

In the end, Coulter has betrayed a host of people, groups, and organizations.[6]

For many years, post-9/11, Coulter betrayed the American Conservative Union and CPAC on numerous occasions.

In 2017, Coulter trashed her decades-long friendship with Sean Hannity in an extremely petty manner.

Also, in 2017, Coulter trashed her beloved Charles Murray and a 19-year-old Cornell student with one tweet.

In 2019, Coulter even threw her long-time good friends, George and Kellyanne Conway, under the bus.[7] (Ann was Kellyanne’s bridesmaid!)

Her one-time friend and ideological mentor, author Joseph Sobran, wrote that lies are betrayal! (emphasis added):[8]

A lie is not just a statement that isn’t “accurate.” It’s a personal betrayal. It means you are a traitor to whomever you are talking to. You make him a fool for trusting you in the way we all have to be able to trust each other for life to go along. You’re willing to turn his good faith against him for your selfish advantage. You treat him not as your friend or fellow citizen, but as your prey.

For the entire 22 years that I have known Ann, she has been adept at manipulating people. She uses them and then throws them away.

Many conservative organizations fawned over Coulter as she became a conservative icon and “goddess of the conservative movement.” Among them, the Claire Booth Luce Policy Institute, Young America’s Foundation, the American Conservative Union, and the Media Research Center. All of them granted Coulter lucrative speaking fees and/or promoted her work. They have all since effectively boycotted Coulter.

In 2017, Turning Point USA, sponsored her speeches, but not in 2018, even though its four-day conference was held in West Palm Beach, FL, which Coulter calls her home (she was actually in town during the conference!).[9]

Once hailed the Goddess of the Conservative Movement and a Conservative Icon, polemicist and Alt-Right Queen Ann Coulter has become America’s Fool!

For over twenty years, Coulter’s preferred presidential nominee has become someone she ultimately hates.

Coulter shares astonishing similarities with Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and has been called the AOC of the GOP!

Coulter is not a WASP purebred, but a mongrel.

In addition to two decades of presidential follies, Coulter’s fiascos are legendary, including at Berkeley, the Hamptons, CPAC, and with Delta.

Coulter’s Beyoncé Blunders

Ann Coulter stuffed so much nonsense into just one tweet that she enraged Beyoncé fans and kicked reason and decency in the head.

coulters-beyonce-blunders

Coulter’s tweet:

“Beyonce, cited by Michelle Obama as role model for her daughters, sings about ‘pussy curvalicious, served delicious.’ Oh my. I just fainted.”

Sarcasm notwithstanding, Coulter was wrong on the singer, mangled the lyrics, offered a tortured interpretation of those lyrics, and confused sexual assault with a provocatively poetic expression of consensual sex in marriage.

Coulter was as wrong as wrong can be. Again.

  • Coulter cited the wrong singer. The lyrics were rapped by Nicki Minaj, not Beyoncé.
  • Coulter mangled the lyrics. Coulter transposed the first two words, mutilating the rhythm of the rhyme. The actual lyrics are: “Curvalicious, pussy served delicious.”
  • Coulter tortured the interpretation of those lyrics. Defending Trump from allegations of sexual assault, Coulter missed the significance of consensual sex in those lyrics. As reported by Mediaite: “By referring to her privates as something being ‘served,’ Minaj is, in effect, giving her partner her consent, which a woman being grabbed ‘by the pussy’ by a famous man has not done.”
  • Coulter equated sexual talk with sexual assault. Intent upon absolving Trump of guilt for gloating over grabbing women “by the pussy,” Coulter spotlights the word “pussy” (a word she herself frequently uses). However, as Mediaite also observes, “most of Trump’s detractors are not as outraged by the word ‘pussy’ as they are by Trump telling Billy Bush that famous men can get away with grabbing women by the pussy.” It’s assault, not talk!
  • Coulter concluded by mocking Trump’s victims. “Oh my. I just fainted.” No! Innocent women have been sexually assaulted by a rich, powerful, and famous man. Coulter was and remains aghast over Bill Clinton’s treatment of women, yet rushes to Trump’s defense over similar charges.

For Coulter, this is all about ideology, not reality. It is about power, not morality. It is about winning an election, not doing the right thing. Apparently, the end really does justify the means to these people.

John O’Sullivan writes:

“In 2001, before anyone saw the Donald as a presidential aspirant, I wrote a critique in National Review of his interviews with Howard Stern in which he discussed women in terms I thought ungallant. My attack wasn’t political, even though Trump was then a Democrat, but its message was sternly disapproving. … Those interviews (which were on the record) were not very different from the notorious videotape. They were vulgar, crass, shameless, and silly sexual boasting – the kind of thing (second only to intrusive women sports reporters) that prompts me to avoid locker rooms. Above all, however, they were known about and readily available.”

Now that the pussy’s out of the bag, so to speak, Trump’s cadre of female shills have turned truth upside down to salvage what remains of Trump’s reputation. Coulter’s Beyoncé tweet is emblematic of those unsavory efforts.

Sacrifice Deferred

In yet another attack against Gold Star Families, Ann Coulter claims (10/5/16): “I must have accidentally been out of the country for a few days because I missed the part where Trump insulted the Khans.” (Coulter continues to put herself and our country to shame.)

sacrifice-deferred

Overlooking his slight against Ghazala Khan for not speaking at the DNC convention, Trump’s very life is an affront to all those who have served in the U.S. military. Consider Trump’s response to a Gold Star Father.

Khizr Khan said: “Our son, Humayun, had dreams … of being a military lawyer, but he put those dreams aside the day he sacrificed his life to save the lives of his fellow soldiers. … You have sacrificed nothing and no one.”

Trump’s response was typically arrogant and boastful. The braggart bragged: “I think I made a lot of sacrifices. I work very, very hard. I’ve created thousands and thousands of jobs, tens of thousands of jobs.”

Remember how we all laughed when Gwyneth Paltrow claimed, “You come across [online comments] about yourself and about your friends, and it’s a very dehumanizing thing … It’s almost like how, in war, you go through this bloody, dehumanizing thing, and then something is defined out of it.”

Paltrow knows nothing about war and Trump knows nothing about self-sacrifice. Trump’s boast is just as ludicrous as Paltrow’s, equating the pursuit of entrepreneurial profits with giving one’s life for one’s country.

Instead of courageously serving his country, Trump obtained five draft deferments to deliberately avoid doing his duty to God and country.

Having escaped the dangers of battle and potentially death or disfigurement, Trump later spoke of the dangers of living in America (emphasis added): “I’ve been so lucky in terms of that whole world … It is a dangerous world out there – it’s scary, like Vietnam. Sort of like the Vietnam era. It is my personal Vietnam. I feel like a great and very brave soldier.”

Indeed, Trump claims that his attendance at New York Military Academy provided “more training militarily than a lot of the guys that go into the military.”

Donald Trump’s whole life is an insult the Khans and to the brave men and women who daily risk their lives and sacrifice their dreams to defend our freedom. For Trump to equate his hard work with their genuine sacrifice exposes a black hole in his heart and a nonexistent conscience.

Coulter’s Unrequited Love

Ann Coulter’s latest, deepest, and most sorrowful love is Donald Trump.

Coulter’s Unrequited Love

As reported in The Times (emphasis added):

“At present, though, as near as I can tell, the great love of her life is Donald Trump. ‘I’ve been doing nothing but watching Trump on TV,’ she says. ‘I wish there was a Trump channel where you could just watch him 24 hours a day. I’d never sleep.’”

Seriously? Believe it.

When she was asked to describe her actual relationship with Trump, Coulter replied, “Blind worship.”[1] Coulter amplified her answer, “It’s a little like the North Korean people with their dear, dear leader.”

Coulter eagerly admits that she would actually like to marry him! Yes, marry! “I totally would [marry Trump if he were single].”

What is it that sets Ann’s heart all aflutter? Well, it all began with “that Mexican rapist speech [that] won my heart forever.” Huh? Again, “He won my heart with that Mexican rapist speech. That won me over.”[2]

OK.

Coulter’s Trump love is really self-love. Coulter said, “I also think he’s like the alpha male doppelganger of me.” Perhaps looking in the mirror, Coulter exclaimed, “Donald Trump, I love him because he does talk a little like me, which is to say, blunt.”[3]

For about a year, Coulter has called Trump “the greatest candidate for president ever”[4] and “the candidate I’ve been dreaming of.”[5]

Hers is a self-sacrificial love, according to The Times:

“For his sake, she says, she has been prepared to wreck her career. While he campaigned in the primaries, she followed him from state to state, appearing on local talk radio shows. She met with Trump and told him: ‘I’m the only one losing money trying to get you in the White House, you’re going to listen to me.’”

Well, maybe more demanding than self-sacrificial. Trump must toe her line. After Trump’s immigration flip-flop, a piqued Coulter joked, “He just said something stupid, which he’s done before, and he will do again … he does need a little slap now and then.” And Coulter is happy to do the slapping. (Sounds more like a nagging girlfriend than true love to me.)

In what could be termed a lovers’ spat, on the very day of Coulter’s book launch, Trump sabotaged her paean to him by betraying the central premise of her book and its raison d’etre. Trump flip-flopped on immigration.

Coulter-Trump Headlines

Did Trump pick that particular moment in time due to political expediency or to reverse his abysmal poll numbers? Or was it, perhaps, something more personal – a battle between two unyielding narcissists.

Ego vs. ego. Narcissist vs. narcissist.

Perhaps it was months of Coulter taking credit for Trump’s policies. As reported by Breitbart News, “Coulter’s last book, Adios, America, provided a blueprint of sorts for Trump’s campaign.”

Perhaps Trump bristles at the thought of Coulter being called “Trump’s Brain.”

Perhaps it was the Times headline: “The woman who tells Donald Trump what to think.”

I'm in charge

In July 2015, acting like a petulant, jilted lover, Coulter grumbled, “Yes [Trump got an advance copy of Adios, America!], I’ve been broadcasting it like mad. I don’t know why he won’t admit it. … I’ve detailed everything he’s saying. He gives the campaign speeches on it. My book is the footnotes.”[6]

Now, over one year later, Trump truly jilted Coulter. (Trump hasn’t even read Coulter’s book-length love letter to him.)

Ann does not take rejection well.

Mocking Spastic Retards is OK

Ann Coulter just made a fool of herself.[1] Again.[2]

Mocking Spastic Retards is OK

This time Coulter defended Donald Trump’s mocking of a disabled journalist, using four rather obtuse and irrational arguments: 1) that Trump was doing “full-on spastic retard” (which is perfectly acceptable in her eyes) and not mocking a “journalist with disabilities,” 2) that the disabled journalist deserved to be mocked, 3) what we plainly see on video is not really what we see, and 4) we have been brainwashed into instantly believing everything bad the media says about Trump.

Coulter made these four arguments on the Opie & Jimmy Show (8/22/16).

Mocking Spastic Retards is OK

First, Coulter denied the proof that was literally before her eyes, claiming that Trump’s “spastic retard” performance “was not an exaggeration” of the reporter’s disability. She said, “[Trump] was doing full on retard. That’s not what this guy is. … He’s doing spastic retard.”

CqidSnsXgAA92Bp.jpg large

Yes, Coulter’s defense of Trump for mocking a disabled reporter is that he was really just mocking a generic retarded person. Moreover, Coulter insists[3] that calling people retarded and mocking them thusly is perfectly acceptable behavior.[4] Coulter is wont to use the R-word without hesitation.

The Disabled Journalist Deserved Being Mocked

But, Coulter conceded, if Trump were mocking a reporter for his disability, then the reporter deserved it. (Yes, blame the victim, not the victimizer.)

Coulter argued, “He’s not making fun of a guy’s disability but if he were, he deserves it.” Why did the disabled journalist “deserve” to be mocked with a “full-on spastic retard” routine? Because he lied about Trump.

Readers may recall that Coulter also sided with the victimizer and attacked the victim[5] in a well-reported case of physical assault by Trump’s campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski, on reporter Michelle Fields. Coulter went so far as to ridicule Fields by jokingly claiming that she (Coulter) had been gang-raped.[6]

Don’t Believe Your Lying Eyes

Again, while watching he video of Trump’s actions – in slow motion and freeze-framed – Coulter preposterously repeated, “That hand is not bent.”

(Recall the absurdity and audacity of other propagandistic pronouncements: ISIS is on the run, America has never been safer, the border is secure. They demonstrate that propagandists like Coulter[7] have no shame.[8])

George Orwell accurately portrayed how propagandists operate.[9]

Don’t believe your lying eyes! Believe what I tell you that you are seeing! (Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain. Those aren’t the droids you’re looking for.)

Brainwashed by the Media

Having failed to convince her hosts that Trump was not mocking the journalist and that they shouldn’t believe their own eyes, Coulter then blamed the co-hosts for disagreeing with her. (Remember, she first blamed the journalist and then the media and now the co-hosts – for being duped by the media. But, remember, Trump is innocent, innocent, innocent.)

Likening the mainstream media in America to Pravda, Coulter claimed that the American people have become so brainwashed that they immediately succumb to whatever the particular lie of the moment might be. Coulter asserted that the co-hosts had become so brainwashed by media bias that they were incapable of accurately interpreting the very clear video that they were viewing.

Coulter’s message: You can’t think for yourself. Let me tell you what you should believe.

But, since we can’t trust Coulter,[10] why should we trust Trump?

Coulter’s Perfect Presidential Candidate

Having previously called Mitt Romney the “perfect candidate” for both the 2012 and 2016 election cycles, now propagandist Ann Coulter declares Donald Trump to be “the perfect presidential candidate.”

Coulter’s Perfect Presidential Candidate

In an astonishing interview on the Opie & Jimmy Show (8/22/16), Coulter exclaimed:

“I would not have sat back in a laboratory and designed Donald Trump as my perfect presidential candidate but now that’s it’s happened, I realize that ‘Oh my Gosh, he is the perfect presidential candidate.’”

What makes Trump her perfect candidate? Here are some of the traits she concludes are necessary for a perfect candidate: “It’s not like we looked around the country and said, ‘We need a boorish, coarse reality TV star. I wanna make that man president.’” Her book describes Trump as “a tasteless, publicity‐seeking, coarse, billionaire, reality TV star.”

But Coulter concludes that those negatives are actually positives. Coulter claims, “It turns out, that is exactly what we needed.”

Why? Because Trump is coarse enough and boorish enough to withstand the media onslaught against him. In her mind, his tasteless ego is like the protective scales of a dragon.

As it turns out, narcissism (something Coulter is acquainted with) is good. Coulter concludes: “If it takes a narcissist to do that, we need more narcissists running for public office.” (Coulter redefines narcissist as “a self‐confident alpha male.”)

Coulter claimed, on the Opie & Jimmy Show, that Trump’s “problems are purely stylistic. Hillary’s are, she’s a corrupt liar who will only serve Wall Street.” (Hasn’t she heard, so is Trump?)

(I suspect people without character do not value people with character. Perhaps these charlatans only see people with character and integrity as potential rubes.)

Coulter also claimed, “What everyone loves about Trump are his positions,” adding, “It’s 100% Trump’s issues which have propelled him to the top.”

Whoa! Seriously? Trump’s positions change on a daily, if not hourly, basis.

In her book, Coulter claims, “Trump is like a Shakespearean ‘fool’: he seems crass because he speaks the truth.” Even Coulter has admitted that Trump is a fraud and “mental,” so one wonders why she would lie so spectacularly.

Here are a few possibilities: 1) Coulter is used to being a propagandist; 2) Coulter is selling herself and her books; 3) Coulter has staked her reputation and career on a Trump victory; and 4) Coulter views herself and Trump as only saviors of America.

Regardless of the reasons for Coulter’s subterfuge, her “perfect candidate” is the worst possible option of Republicans, for constitutional conservatism, and for America. Of all the GOP candidates, Trump is the only one who could actually lose to Hillary. Coulter’s latest RINO will ensure that Democrats win the White House (and Congress?) this November.

Ann Coulter Pence-ive

With Conservatism and the American Dream on the precipice of disaster, will Ann Coulter choose to save herself or America? Will she continue to place pride above principles[1] or, in an abrupt about face, to actually do the right thing.

Pence-ive

Donald Trump’s selection of pro-immigration Gov. Mike Pence (IN) as his running mate places Coulter in a predicament, especially since her primary (if not sole) reason for supporting Trump is what she perceives as his strong stand against immigration.

For over a year,[2] Coulter has insisted – promised, vowed – that Donald Trump[3] is the only one we can trust to build a wall and stop immigration.[4]

Early this May, Coulter astonishingly claimed: “I’m bitter and cynical enough on immigration that I don’t trust anyone not to betray us. But if there was ever a candidate we could believe will build a wall and stop the mass importation of the Third World, it’s Trump.”[5]

But Trump has already proven that his immigration policy is malleable in order to reach consensus with the establishment. His pledge for a wall and deportation of illegal aliens are merely starting points for negotiation and will be retracted for expediency and making deals with Congress.

Even as Trump spoke of being flexible and willing to negotiate a grand deal (“comprehensive immigration reform” anyone?), Coulter continued to extol his virtues (as invisible as they might be) while besmirching all his detractors as corrupt or crazy[6]all the while opposing the one conservative candidate with a proven record on immigration – Ted Cruz.[7]

Aghast at the very thought of Trump choosing Pence for vice president, Coulter erupted with a tirade.[8]

For a fleeting moment, I hoped that she would see through Trump’s flimflam and realize that he will never fulfill her dreams. Immigration remains the single issue that matters most to her, yet she continues – to this day – to support Trump, the one candidate who has proven himself untrustworthy on this (and every other) issue.[9]

Will Coulter now abandon her commitment to a border wall and a moratorium on immigration – national policies she claims are essential to saving America as we know it – merely to salvage her pride and sell more books?

If Coulter has any integrity at all, she will denounce Trump, support a delegate revolt at the GOP Convention, and endorse Sen. Ted Cruz (TX), the only conceivable candidate who could both defeat Hillary this November and, once in office, be trusted to follow the Constitution and to make preservation of national sovereignty and American identity a top priority.

It will take more than integrity for Coulter to do the right thing. It will also take incredible courage – courage to admit that she was wrong about Trump[10] and that she lied about Cruz.[11]

Will Coulter place her own pride above the best interests of this nation (and the world), continuing to do what she has always done by taking the path of least resistance?[12]

Or will Ann do what she knows in her heart is the right thing to do? Will she trust in God, seek His will, and do it?

Ann regards Trump as her Savior.[13] If she would look to her real Savior – Jesus Christ[14] – then she could be filled with courage to do the right thing.[15] Will she?

(Have a little faith, Ann.)
